We never imagined this day would come but God had different plans... "When the time is right I, the Lord, will make it happen" Isaiah 60:22 It all started with Curtis direct messaging his "future wife" on Facebook inquiring about donations for the Indian River Middle School athletic program. After some dialogue we realized that not only did we attend the same schools, we also grew up in the same neighborhood. After a brief exchange, Curtis was able to convince Sheena to donate to the program and she ended the conversation with "don't be a stranger." We exchanged numbers and from that day forward we spoke on the phone every day for hours at a time. We eventually made plans to meet up for lunch and we met at Famous Uncle Al's which became our favorite place to have lunch. From then on we were inseparable and began planning our future and entered into a whirlwind romance. Curtis explained and made it clear from the beginning how much he loved and cherished his children. He always wanted his future wife to love them as her own. As things became serious, Curtis introduced Kyler, Kinsley, and Koi to Sheena during the Christmas holidays. Sheena and the kids instantly began to develop their own relationship and shortly after became inseparable as well. Sheena always wanted a big family and the kids were the perfect piece to the puzzle. After we started dating we discovered we were very compatible, had similar upbringings, and shared common interests; including: traveling, watching/attending sporting events, exploring new restaurants, playing Uno with the kids, and spending time with family and friends. From "strangers," to friends, to lovers, and now engaged and soon to be married, we recognize that although there is no such thing as a perfect relationship, our love story is perfect for us. We have weathered many storms but God saw fit to bring us together and with Him as our guide we know that love conquers all.
