Things To Do

There are so many BEAUTIFUL places in Arizona to visit! If you are looking to make a longer trip, you can't go wrong by making a drive up to Sedona's Cathedral Rock, the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and/or Antelope Canyon. All of these destinations prove that Arizona is more than just cacti and rocks. (Beware: You'll want a full day or two to tackle most of these!) If staying in the Valley is all you have time for... there is plenty to do in Old Town Scottsdale, Downtown Gilbert, and Downtown Chandler. Most of the places listed below are places we visit EVERY TIME we are home.

Superstition Mountain Hiking

Arizona 85119

Arizona is known for its beautiful hikes and October is the perfect month for hiking! Here is a list of popular hikes near the venue!

Four Peaks Brewing Company

1340 East 8th Street, Tempe, AZ 85281
, (480) 303-9967

One of our favorite local breweries is Four Peaks! They have some of the best food and beers around so highly recommend checking it out while you are in town!

Nando's Mexican Cafe

3519 East Baseline Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234
, (480) 633-1313

We absolutely LOVE Mexican food and we always make it a point to go to Nando's when we are home! There are multiple locations across the valley but this is closest to the venue. COME HUNGRY because their portions are massive. Daniel's favorite is the El Jefe Chimichnga Jenn loves the Red Chile Chicken Enchiladas Their cheese crisps are also to die for. Note: For all the spicy fans out there, their hot salsa is incredible. For the spicy fanatics, try their habanero salsa. (They won't even bring this out to the table unless you ask for it!)

Los Favoritos

9124 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207
, (480) 984-1035

You didn't think we'd only recommend one Mexican food spot, did you?!? Los Favs is a staple and great if you are looking for a fast food option. Our favorites from here are usually the breakfast burritos. Jenn gets machaca burrito and Daniel gets the chorizo. If you're a late riser, their California Asada burrito is also an excellent choice. All options are great when recovering from a late night... There are locations all across the valley but this is close to the venue!

Angry Crab Shack

8253 East Guadalupe Road, Mesa, AZ 85212
, (480) 373-5855

Angry Crab brings the best of the bayou to Arizona. Their crab boils come to your table in a massive steaming bag of fresh seafood. Shrimp, crab, mussels, sausage, corn, and potatoes are optional. Trifecta seasoning, plastic bibs, medical gloves, and trashing the tablecloth are not.

In-N-Out Burger

1859 South Signal Butte Road, Mesa, AZ 85209
, (800) 786-1000

We are aware some people think In-N-Out is overrated... but most of these people didn't get an invite to the wedding! If you want to be a true local, order your burger or fries "animal style." It comes with grilled onions, cheese, and secret sauce (aka thousand island). For the extremely hungry, you can also order a 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5. That's 3 patties meat and cheese, etc, etc.

Old Town Scottsdale

Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Old Town is a great spot for Brunch! We love the Breakfast Club and Montauk. If you're looking for a more boozy brunch, we also love Maple and Ash or R&R.

Mill Avenue

South Mill Avenue, Tempe, AZ

If you want to revisit Jenn's old stomping grounds, check out Mill Ave next to ASU's main Tempe campus. Get yourself a bucket at CASA, a Long Island Iced Tea at Cue Club, or a Marg at El Hefe.

For all the days along the way
