Thomas and Shealyn first met at a mutual friends wedding in 2020. Shealyn knew this friend from nursing school, who was a childhood friend of Thomas. When they first laid eyes on each other they knew they wanted to know more. Shealyn bet her friends that she would kiss that boy before the end of the wedding... in a pandemic, GIRL! Little did she know that Thomas wanted to chat and get to know her more as well. He sent a girl friend over to scope out whether Shealyn was single or not and to drop his name mentioning that he was interested. Shealyn and Thomas had a long chat in a pioneer-style wagon later on in the evening, filled with rusty nails and spiders- which for Shealyn is a big deal- bugs are yucky. They spent the rest of the wedding chatting and by the end of night exchanged contacts. Thomas had messaged her the next day and they quickly set up a first date. Their first date lasted hours and hours, they went from just having coffee, to having dinner, to having ice cream, then talking for hours more. From the start Thomas and Shealyn were drawn to each other. They moved into their first apartment after dating just under a year. They have since adopted two kitties Fae and Finn and started a little family together. In August, Thomas and Shealyn were in Holland when he proposed. They were on the lookout platform of a windmill in Leiden when Thomas got down on one knee and asked if Shealyn would marry him. Surprise, surprise, she said yes or else you wouldn't be reading this right now (also kudos to you for reading this far). They are so excited to start this next chapter in their lives and thank you for supporting them, and showering them with love and excitement as they prepare for their big day!
