Erika Mucia

Matron of Honor

Patty Benavente - Sister of the Bride Angie, as my older sister, has been someone I’d look up to all my life (especially because she is way taller than me!) Growing up as kids, we will go out to play outside the neighborhood... On one occasion, because my parents told her to keep an eye on me, she placed me up high sitting me on a window sill and went to play with the other kids. I wanted to go where she was, so I jumped down facing forward and made myself toothless (no worries! it was my transitional tooth.) On another day, she rode her bike and I had my roller skates on. She told me to grab on to her so she can give me a ride. She started pedaling fast and I tripped over and fell, but I kept on holding on, grabbing her by the waist and yelling at her to stop. After being dragged for a block, I ended up with both knees scraped. (Now I wonder why I didn’t let go way earlier and how come she did not hear me yelling for a whole block!) As young adults, we traveled around. First, inside Peru to different states. Then, when we moved to the U.S. we went out every weekend to tourist places all over California. We also went to Venezuela together too and enjoy the New Years at the beach! Now, as her wedding day approaches, I am beyond excited to be by her side as her matron of honor (it will be my first time!) and can’t wait for September. I am so lucky to have her as my sister and wish her the best next to my new brother-in-law, Jordan and their beautiful Ellie.

Jacob Shea

Best Man

One of my favorite stories illustrates just how dedicated and wonderful a brother you are. The night before I married Lindsay, you and I were holed up in a hotel room. I was feeling pretty anxious about the planned choreographed first dance we were going to surprise everyone with. You went through the steps with me the night before the wedding until I felt like I had it memorized and solid. You are always there for me.

Karla Suárez

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Angie since we were 6 years old, back in 1994. We spent 11 years together in an all-girls Catholic school, forming a bond that feels more like sisterhood than friendship. We’ve shared secrets, stuck together through thick and thin, and remained close no matter the distance or time. For that, I’m truly grateful. When it comes to memories…I have way too many to be told! And they all involve some kind of mischiefs and a lot of laughter (like A LOT!). I still remember that little girl with long hair, long legs and a big smile on our first day of first grade. She was really friendly and there was that spark in her eyes that made everyone around feel happy, welcome and safe. I instantly knew we would become really close buddies 🤍. Angie has always been super fun to be around. Always ready to make some pranks and to let her rebel spirit involve herself in some mild trouble…and you always knew you could count on her in any mischievousness 🤭. She hasn’t changed at all! And please Angie, never do. When she asked me to be her bridesmaid, I was incredibly honored. Knowing Jordan and his love for her, I’m confident they’ll have a lifetime of happiness. I wish nothing but the best for you two (and Ellie) in this new chapter. The best memories are still to come!

Ben Shea

Best Man

Jordan is like a brother to me. What I like most about him is how easy going he is and how we never fight. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen him fight with anyone. One of my favorite moments with Jordan is when he visited me in Geneva for the first time. After a long day of visiting the city, we were both starving and went to grab hamburgers. He got his burger way before I got mine, but knowing how hungry I was, he split his burger with me because he loves me. He is so generous. Angie is so lucky to be with someone who will never bicker and who will always share his hamburgers.

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Angie for more than 17 years now and we always have fun together. We had so much fun in our 20s, clubbing, going to fitness events, trips with friends, etc. We have a very transparent and honest friendship where we can both be ourselves to each other. I admire her will power and the I-can-do-it-all attitude. I have seen her blossom both personally and professionally and I am so excited that she is taking the next step and joining the married life. Jordan and Angie are meant for each other and it has been a pleasure to see their relationship grow stronger.

Jordan and I have been friends for longer than we both can remember. We’ve experienced a lot together, from our first day at kindergarten to fighting over video games, getting injured while snowboarding, watching him struggle to eat spicy foods, driving countless hours up and down the state of California to then eventually traveling the globe together. These adventures wouldn’t be the same with anyone else and I am lucky to be able to call Jordan my best friend. I am so excited that he found his perfect match in Angie and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Claire Mott

Bridesmaid

Angie and I met through our Jordans - my then boyfriend/now husband Jordan Mott, and of course her Shea! Our friendship really began on a trip to Mexico back in 2022 with the 4 of us, where we got to spend a lot of quality time together. I truly loved seeing her heart and getting to know who she really was as we soaked up the sun. It’s also where I got to see the tremendous amount of love between her and Shea. Since then, we’ve had many experiences together - from trips to Carmel & double dates with our Jordans, to her celebrating my big day at both my bachelorette & wedding. I’ve been lucky to grow a close friendship with her that I know will last a lifetime. I am thrilled to be able to support Angie in all these milestones leading up, standing by her side on her big day, and for whatever the future holds!

One of my first interactions with Jordan was when he brought Toiletpaper to me as a housewarming gift. Initially thinking this was ridiculous, this proved to be very valuable during a time of need. Little did I know, that this was going to be representative of the friendship that Jordan and I have created over the years. He is always there for people when the need someone, even if you don’t know you need him. I have been blessed to have created so many memories with Jordan throughout the years. Angie… in Jordan’s own words… You don’t want this… You NEED this! Well guess what… you have him for the rest of your life!

Mi Machisma in Crime! When I met Angie a little over five years ago, I knew right away we’d be great friends. Her spontaneous and playful energy perfectly matched mine, a recipe for endless laughter and maybe a little trouble making along the way. Our bond truly solidified during a trip to Nashville for our friend's bachelorette party. One day, we scootered all over the city. Our first pair of scooters died in the middle of the street, so we hunted down another set and, once we found them, we scooted off into the sunset like the dynamic duo we are! But in all seriousness, Angie, your friendship means the world to me. Last year, during one of the toughest times of my life (why am I tearing up as I write this?), you were there for me every step of the way. Your weekly (and sometimes daily) phone calls to check in were the highlight of my days. You have this incredible ability to make me feel seen, heard, and understood. You never judged me, and you always reminded me that I wasn’t alone and that mistakes don’t define me. You hold all the qualities of a genuine and sincere friend. Your positive outlook on life is one of a kind, and it’s just one of the many reasons you’re so special. Angie, I am beyond excited and honored to stand by your side as you and Jordan commit to this beautiful next chapter of your lives. I can't wait to be part of your journey, you’re stuck with me now as your forever friend! I love you with all my heart. Cheers Mi Machisma!

I’ve known Jordan for over 25 years, and no matter how long it’s been since we’ve caught up, it always feels like no time has passed. Whether he was traveling the world or living in different countries, we could go months without talking and pick right back up where we left off. I’ll never forget the time I drove up to Chico State to visit him at his new dorm. He’d been telling me about these epic parties, and I had to see it for myself. The first night was exactly as promised, but the one rule Jordan gave me was, “Do not go on the sidewalk with alcohol.” Well, that lasted all of about an hour before I got arrested for minor in possession. Jordan felt so bad, but in true Jordan fashion, he reassured me that I’d be fine and that we still had 4 days left to rage before I had to head back to reality. So many memories, and now I’m beyond happy to see him find Angie and start this next chapter of their lives. Couldn’t be more excited for them both!

Bridesmaid

I met Angie about 17 years ago through a mutual friend, a day before she was moving to Winsconsin. Some of our friends were getting together for a small, but fun, farewell reunion. I may not remember when she came back to California, but I do remember that it has always been fun to be around Angie, and it still is. I love her determination, will-power, outgoing and adventurous personality. Flaca, I am so happy that Jordan's path crossed with yours. I love the woman you have become and the great partner/relationship both of you have created together with Ellie, and I am thrilled that you chose me as one of your bridesmaid. I really couldn't be happier for both of you!

There’s a lot of times I think of when reminiscing about stories with Jordan. My mind always takes me back to Korea, and of the many nights out on the town in Dongtan one night in particular stands out among the rest.  On a day when I was hungover and barely alive, the persistent Jordan that everyone knows and loves began his negotiations for yet another night out. After a fierce debate over the span of at least two hours I was finally worn down and forced to endure another adventure. I couldn’t have been less enthusiastic, but Jordan doesn’t let anything stop him from his goals. I don’t remember a lot of what happens next, only that it ends with me shirtless on stage at a Korean nightclub. One of many nights I will “remember” forever with Jordan.

Angie and I met in San Mateo back in the summer of 2007 through my sister Stefany, and we instantly connected. It’s been 18 years of friendship filled with laughter, ridiculous adventures, and deep conversations that only real friends can have. We’ve seen Lady Gaga live twice — once in 2009 and again in 2022. Both times we were late, sprinting into the venue like maniacs (classic us). We also lived together with my sister for a while, and that’s when we became obsessed with Lost and Prison Break — true bonding over chaotic TV drama. Some of my favorite memories with Angie include our Swingin’ Door days, when the police literally came looking for her at the bar next door because some hater had reported her for disorderly conduct (LMAO), our Panda days, our prank calls late at night, and the unforgettable trips we’ve taken, like Costa Rica, Vegas, LA and camping at Scotts Lake. Trust me, there’s never a dull moment when Angie’s involved. I couldn’t be more honored to stand by your side for this next chapter, Mi herrrrrmana

Jordan had come down to visit me at Camp Pendleton where I was stationed. What started as a casual evening of drinks in the barracks quickly spiraled into one of the more legendary stories of my time there. While we were lounging, Jordan, emboldened by the drinks and his knack for chaos, decided to up the stakes. He turned to one of our friends and proposed a bet: $20 says you can’t jump off the second deck and shimmy down the light pole. In hindsight, this should have been the moment to shut the whole thing down. But logic wasn’t exactly the driving force of the night. Our friend, fueled by equal parts liquid courage and the desire to prove himself, accepted the challenge. The plan seemed simple enough. He leapt off the second deck and it became immediately clear there was a critical flaw in his execution. He completely missed the light pole. Instead, he launched himself into a full Superman dive, soaring through the air before hitting the ground with an audible thud. For a split second, the world stood still. Was he okay? Could he even move? These were the questions anyone would ask. But not Jordan. Before we could even process what had happened, he was already bounding down the stairs to hand him the $20 he’d just earned through sheer stupidity. Against all odds, and after groaning like he was dying for 5 minutes, our friend stood up, brushing himself off like nothing had happened. Within minutes, the MPs came, questioned, and escorted the whole group off base.

Staying with Jordan in South Korea is one of the top experiences of my life that I will never forget. As always, he was an incredible host. On day one I was sitting around a table with his friends, learning how to master the grill at a Korean bbq joint, playing the local drinking games, and taking shots of Soju from freshly cooked mushroom caps. Even in this country far from home, he effortlessly folded me into his life and social circle. That night had already made the plane ride worth it, but was just the first of countless memories we would make together on the other side of the Pacific Ocean.

When I lived with Jordan in Korea we had a few too many drinks and got into an altercation one night ( no clue what caused it. ) and I tried to bury him in an inch of snow. As long as I've known Jordan, he's always treated me with kindness, respect and love.. for no reason at all I attempted the burial.. If anything, he should have buried me in the snow ❄️

Some of my favorite memories were those middle school summer nights, pre drivers license - cruising around the neighborhood on our bikes and long boards, getting into mischief. Jam seshes in your back yard, filming jackass rip off stunts, jumping off the roof into your pool, beating you at pool, Donkey Kong throw downs, poker tourneys, the good life. Your house was a home away from home.

Congratulations to the newly weds! Jordan and I have been friends since we were little kids and I can barely remember life without him. We have countless memories but I would have to say my most memorable was when I was married. I was honored to have Jordan as one of my grooms men and join me as my wife and I tied the knot. It was a glorious evening and I can’t wait to do the same for Jordan and Angie. Cheers to health, wealth and a lifetime of happiness!

This picture is from early 2013 in SF. I like this one because it’s one of the many times that we make sure to meet up at some point during the year to catch up. No matter how far away or busy we are, we still find time to link up and it always feels like no time at all has passed. I feel like that is something unique that only happens with your oldest friends.

I met this beautiful man shortly after moving to South Korea. It can be hard moving to a new place, a new country. Luckily for me I met a friend to help me through.Jordan taught me alot about the culture... of Soju, and essential skills such as the sacred Korean art of Beer pong. He was always there to help translate my poor attempts at ordering food, I'd often receive a blank look or a tilt of the head from a confused waitress.I'd glace at Jordan to see him there eagerly waiting with a knowing grin, and in the most exaggerated Korean accent he could muster, would repeat "word for word" what I'd said... and every time the waitress's face would light up and she'd write down my order. Brilliant! From the Bars of South Korea, the jungles of Vietnam, and on the streets of London, I've walked beside this man and been proud to call him a friend. Many life lessons have been learnt along the way, some of my favourite being "There IS such a thing as one too many shots of Jameson's", "Tuktuk's aren't always a good idea", and "Never pee on a hairdryer".I hope you carry these lessons forward as you start on a long and happy journey of marriage with your beautiful wife to be, Angie. Love you always brother.

There are so many stories that come to mind with Jordan and I. Rather than just going into one in full detail, I would rather list off several times that make me smile. Cruising in the Dodge Stealth, the late nights out, the general Lee Acura legend (We spray painted Jordan's Acura Legend like the general lee and had our own smash derby), countless snowboarding trips / Tahoe, First solo road trip to LA in order to “scout colleges”, the many times had visiting Jordan at Chico State.... the list goes on and on.

Michael Jordan has nothing on Michael + Jordan. These two have been friends for decades and each are beloved by the other’s family. Some of Michael’s favorite memories of Jordan are their trips to Palm Springs to golf, making oddly shaped pancakes for Michael’s mother at 3am, and when they stayed up all night and devised an extremely intricate plan to fight off an intruder that never existed. Michael says he is lucky to have such a loyal friend in Jordan, and is very thankful for this chance to have a microphone in front of a captive audience. Lav.
