Question

Are kids allowed at the ceremony and wedding party?

Answer

Unfortunately no. This will be an adults only wedding. However, if you are traveling with kids to Peru, please let us know as we have contacts for babysitters.

Question

Will there be transportation to the venue from Hotels in Lima?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing shuttles from JW Marriott Lima to and from the Venue. Traffic will dictate how long it will take. Anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes. Typically, the trip back from venue to hotel should be on the shorter time as traffic should be non existent. Times for Shuttle Coming Soon (Likely Pick up at 1:30-2PM to head to venue and Midnight - 1AM return times)

Question

Where are the best places to stay in Lima?

Answer

Angie and I have booked several room Blocks in Miraflores, Lima. Miraflores is one of the nicest and safest parts of Lima. There are a ton of restaurants and things to do. Barranco is another great area. Besides the Room Block hotels - JW Marriott Lima (Miraflores) and Courtyard Marriott (Miraflores) we advise on the following: AC Marriott - Miraflores Pullman - Miraflores Hilton Lima - Miraflores

Question

What is the best way to get around during our time in Peru?

Answer

UBER! Uber works great in Lima and is affordable. Taxis work as well, but sometimes they will up charge you when seeing you are a tourist. Whereas, when you get an Uber, it is a fixed price. Unlike in USA, you can elect to pay cash for Ubers.

Question

Are Water and Food Safe in Peru?

Answer

Water - NO! Stick to Bottled water while in Peru. Do not drink Tap Water. This goes for brushing your teeth as well. Use bottled water for brushing your teeth. Showering with their water is completely okay. FOOD - YES! However, some individuals may experience stomach issues when eating fresh fruit or not fully cooked meat items. We advise getting your meat fully cooked through to avoid potential issues. If you come down with a stomach issue, there are pharmacies all around and you can walk in and they can provide you with medicine that works well.

Question

How Long Should we Stay in Peru?

Answer

If you are only attending the wedding, we are advising Thursday-Monday. Friday to Sunday can work, but may be a bit jam packed. If you are able to stay longer, we definitely advise doing so. You can use our wedding as an excuse to take a vacation in Peru! Stay 1-2 weeks and check out all the sites!

Question

When heading to Lima Airport to Leave home, how long in advance should we get there?

Answer

We advise getting to the airport THREE hours before your flight. Checking bags, security, customs, etc. can take longer in Peru. From Miraflores to Lima Airport, it takes around an hour. Please check googlemaps, ways etc to plan for enough time to get to the airport from your hotels.

For all the days along the way
