Founder's Park
Right on the waterfront in Old Town Alexandria, this is one of our favorite spots. We usually spend at least one day a weekend here reading and relaxing. Close to shops and restaurants, too!
Old Town Alexandria
Full of quaint shops, restaurants, history, and bordering the gorgeous waterfront, Old Town is a favorite for our date nights or even just to take a stroll. Walk along King Street down towards the waterfront for the quintessential Old Town experience!
Great Falls
Right over the border in Maryland is Great Falls Park, a favorite of ours. Opt for a relaxing walk along the canal trail, or try the popular Billy Goat trail hike that follows the Potomac River!
Shenandoah National Park
A few hours drive away, it offers beautiful views and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
National Mall
For any first-timers in DC, the National Mall is a must. Take some time to stroll past the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial at the Tidal Basin, and more! Walking the monuments at night is a favorite date night of ours.
Ben's Chili Bowl
A historic DC staple and a favorite of ours- get their iconic chili half smoke (or the spicy, ever better!) while checking out the walls plastered in celebrity photos and listening to 90s hip-hop.
The Block Foodhall & Bar
A modern foodhall with a variety of Asian and Asian fusion choices- hibachi, poke bowls, modern vietnamese, even ice cream flavors like matcha oreo and ube...they've got it all!
Moo Thru
Is stopping for fresh ice cream a must for you on road trips? Make sure to stop at Moo Thru while driving on Route 29!
Choong Man Chicken - Fairfax
Korean-style and perfectly crunchy and saucy, these are the wings that convinced Shea to become a wings person. They're a favorite of ours!
Pupatella
We've become somewhat of pizza snobs now that we've been practicing our craft for the past year-so that tells you that Pupatella is really worth it! Rated by the Napoli Pizza Association, some our favorites include the onion tart and chorizo pizzas, and the panzarotti appetizer.
Montpelier
If you're a history buff, Virginia has a lot to offer. This state is the home to many US Presidents, including James Madison. Located in the same town as our venue, his home, Montpelier, will take you on a journey to the past.
