We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal dress code for our wedding. If you’d like to dress in the color scheme of our wedding, we recommend terracotta colors, warm shades and neutrals but please don’t wear white.
It honestly could be anything - Michigan is known for being bright and sunny tee shirt weather one day and could be snowing the next. Lucky for us, the chance of snow in August is minimal. You should expect the weather to be in the low 80ºs, dipping into the high 50ºs after the sun goes down.
Both the ceremony and reception will be at Black Barn Vineyard and Winery, 10473 Churchill Road in Rives Junction, MI. We will have a short ceremony outside in the vineyard with a reception indoors to follow. Our venue is air-conditioned as well!
The Bride & Groom, wedding party and their families will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can enjoy a short walk through the vineyard and past a small pond back to the reception area where they can find their seat, grab a drink and head outside to check out the VW Photo Booth & snap some pics!
There will be free parking at the venue.
Our ceremony is an unplugged ceremony and photos will not be allowed before or during the ceremony. Our photographer will be happy to share all photographs afterwards. Feel free to take as many photos as you'd like at the reception.
If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, absolutely! If not, we would prefer if was just you.

We reserved a standard rate hotel block at both the Courtyard by Marriott Jackson and TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jackson. Please see the travel page on our website for more details. There are many other options in the Jackson area as well, only about 10 minutes from the venue.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "Can't make it" so we can plan accordingly.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Please arrive no later than 4:00PM so that you can take a short walk to the ceremony site and get settled before the proceedings.
Snail mail is the best option! In your invitation, we included a stamped pre-addressed envelope to us, so fill your card out and drop it in the mailbox! We'd like everyone to reply no later than July 1st.

We will be serving appetizers and dinner that can accommodate a wide variety of dietary restrictions. When you RSVP please indicate your dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly.
