Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Shayna Cohn and Eden Ellis
Read below for a selection of our favorite places to eat, drink, hike, and explore around Denver. The recommendations are in order of proximity to the Grand Hyatt hotel.

Cherry Creek Trail

Walk, run, or bike the Cherry Creek trail to explore Denver. Make your way up to Platte Park, explore the wonder that is REI, and grab a coffee at Carbon Cafe along the way!

Central Market

Check out one of Denver's coolest neighborhoods, RiNO (River North), and sample some of its finest bites and beers.

Ratio Beerworks

One of Denver's best breweries, located in the heart of RiNO. Cannot recommend their french saison enough!

First Draft Taproom & Kitchen

A beer-lover's heaven. Sample over 40 local and international beers on high-tech self-serve taps. They also serve great food and are located in the heart of RiNO.

Safta Restaurant - The Source

Arguably our favorite restaurant in Denver. This eatery offers authentic Israeli food in a modern setting. Be sure to make a reservation and check out The Source while you're there!

Rosenberg's Bagels (Five Points)

Hands down the best bagels in Denver! Located in the historic Five Points neighborhood and nearby RiNO.

Denver Botanic Gardens

Great family outing, and this time of year the gardens will be in full bloom. The Japanese and succulent gardens are our favorite!

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Check out this family friendly museum located in the center of City Park!

PARISI pizzeria, trattoria e vino

If you're willing to explore 10-15 minutes north of downtown, come stroll the Tennyson neighborhood (where we live) and try one of our favorite local bites. Be sure to stop by Caesar Chavez Park!

Mount Sanitas Trail

Great hike in Boulder with breathtaking views of the Flatirons. Be sure to check out downtown Boulder after the hike and reward yourself with a beer and pizza at Backcountry Pizza and Tap House.

Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre

Trading Post Trail is an easy and photo-worthy hike at the famous Red Rocks concert venue, which includes great views of downtown and the foothills. You may recognize these views in our photos ;-)

Golden Gate Canyon Park

Stunning hiking terrain with lots of variety not too far from Denver. Mt. Galbraith loop trail is a favorite. Be sure to reward yourself with a bite at Atomic Bob's Burgers or a tour of the Coors factory.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Located 75 miles northwest of Denver (approx. 1.5 hour drive), RMNP is an incredible National Park sitting on the Continental Divide that spans over a quarter-of-a-million acres of terrain. The towns on both sides of the park (Estes and Grand Lake) are very quaint!

For all the days along the way
