Drew and Lauren’s story began freshman year at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Living on the same dorm hall, their paths crossed often, but it wasn’t until second semester that a friendship began to grow. By sophomore year, that friendship turned into the start of their relationship. When graduation arrived, Drew and Lauren knew they wanted to stay together, even if that meant navigating a year of living in different cities. Lauren headed to the University of Virginia for graduate school, while Drew pursued his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Lynchburg. Luckily, they were not too far apart and managed to keep their relationship strong through late-night phone calls, weekend visits, and unwavering support for one another. In 2020, Lauren moved to Lynchburg to be closer to Drew, and together they built a life they loved in Virginia. But with adventurous hearts and a shared curiosity for what else the world had to offer, they decided to take a leap. When Lauren’s lease ended and Drew graduated from PT school, they packed up their cars and set off on what would become more than three years of travel across the country. From Florida, Connecticut, and Colorado to Washington, Arizona, California, Massachusetts, and North Carolina—along with countless cross-country drives and National Park stops—they were constantly on the move. Through every new place and chapter, one thing remained steady: their love for each other and their dependence on one another. On July 2, 2025, while vacationing in Bonaire with Lauren’s family, Drew asked Lauren to marry him! The future is full of endless possibilities, and Drew and Lauren know that no matter where life takes them, they can face it all together. As they look ahead to their next chapter, Lauren and Drew hope their marriage will bring a final place to settle down and call home—one where they can grow their family, grounded in love, faith, and continuous adventures.
