Shawn & Andrew

Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Shawn Eliav and Andrew Spencer

Danielle Eliav

Maid of Honor

Dani is my younger sister and usually the only one in the family to appreciate my jokes; sometimes she even laughs! It helps that we have the same sense of humor and both find naming a boat "Is-raeli Wet" hilarious. I am very lucky to have this amazing human keeping me sane during wedding planning.

Andrew Gerner

Best Man

Andrew and I met in Geometry class sophomore year of high school (we were great students). Clearly we hit it off, so much so that I was invited to come to their family spring break in Key West. We've been inseparable ever since. Andrew has had my back for almost 20 (yikes) years and I am lucky to have him as my best man.

Ashley Roach

BBOTB

Ashley is so important to me I made up a title for her -- BBOTB -- Best Friend of the Bride. We met in college and like many best friends, didn't like each other very much at first. Now we have been partners in crime for almost 10 years in 4 different countries. Ashley is the most loyal person I know, and there is no one better to have my back than this girl.

Jadd Halawani

Groomsman

I was visiting another friend at the beach, where I met Jadd's 10-week old Husky named Sierra having the worst day ever after eating a dark chocolate bar. Still having not even met Jadd, I cleaned the stairs, the floors, and poor Sierra. By the time Jadd got home, I was already done cleaning. He gave me a huge hug and said "whatever you need, I got you". He's lived up to that ever since.

Moriah Robins

Bridesmaid

Moriah and I were roommates for just a semester in college, but while we didn't know each other well before cohabitating, our shared love of The Bachelor franchise really sealed the deal, and got us hanging out once a week even after Moriah moved out. Getting to know her better each week, I learned Moriah is one of the best people I know and consider myself honored she chose me as a friend, too.

Kevin Conley

Groomsman

Since our grandmothers were two years apart at Visitation high school, our families have been close. The bond grew stronger when our families lived a couple of blocks apart. The siblings were all close in age, so no one was surprised when we became close while in high school together. Kevin is always down for a good time and I am sure he will be the life of the party.

Elana Horowitz

Bridesmaid

Elana was the third in the college apartment that shaped my adult life. Though we also lived together for only four months, our friendship far outlasted our tenure as roommates. Elana is probably the bubbliest person I know, and her zest for life is infectious. I am pumped to have this hype woman in my bridal party!

Joe Arvis

Groomsman

Joe and I met in high school and have the same passion for sports, movies, and music (Joe trumps me on this one): from playing football together at St. Johns (still wondering how he was able to put his helmet on over that huge afro) to freezing our butts off during a disappointing Nat's playoff loss. I have so many great conversations with that man.

Rebecca Yatovitz

Bridesmaid

Becca and I have been a package deal since freshman year. We bonded early on over our distaste for pledging our college sorority. We were inseparable through college, attending every social and a lot of classes together. Becca and I lived together for a year a half in that same college apartment, and I love her "I say what I want" attitude.

Connor Spencer

Groomsman

My cousin Connor is more like a brother. From learning how to body surf on our family beach trips, to playing pick-up games in the backyard, we always knew how to have a good time. I will always enjoy burying you in the sand and leaving you there.

Carlena Zayac

Bridesmaid

Carly and I met through a Facebook DC roommate group and decided to find a place together when we were both moving into DC. Carly and I were the kind of roommates that cooked dinner together every night, even when we'd only known each other a few months. While I would have settled for a tolerable roommate, I am grateful to have found a lifelong friend.

Reid Spencer

Groomsman

Reid is Connor's older brother and like a brother to me too. We made a great team burying Connor at the beach. Reid also participated in the body surfacing the wave and pick-up games in the backyard. Reid, Connor, and I can have a good time anywhere.

Debbie Noymer

Bridesmaid

Debbie and I were matched as big/little in their sorority, and it turns out our matchmakers did well! Debbie is a total sweetheart, intelligent and tends to put others ahead of herself. I was thrilled when Debbie decided to stay in the DMV after graduation, because it allowed us to grow our big/little relationship into a true adult friendship.

Pat Kenealy

Groomsman

Pat is also my cousin and we always have a blast at family events and golf outings, and lots of pranks in between. I will take every opportunity to remind him how much his high school sucks.

Carly Eliav

Bridesmaid

Carly is my sister-in-law and quickly became the older sister I never had. She was a welcome addition to the family and is an amazing mother to the Eliav golden grand-daughter/niece, Sami. We can't imagine our family without her!

Lee Eliav

Groomsman and Officiant

Lee is Shawn's older brother, but it didn't take long for Lee and Andrew to form their own friendship. About a year into Shawn and Andrew's relationship, Shawn noticed Lee and Andrew were texting. When she asked Andrew about it, he said, "Your brother and I text all the time." It was natural then, to ask Lee to marry us, and we were very happy that he agreed.
