North Beach is a cute little town with several antique shops within walking distance of the pier.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that North Beach has a beach! Head over to play in the sand and soak up the sun. Tickets are required for admission. Paddleboards and kayaks are also available for rent.
Not up for getting sandy? Stroll the boardwalk and enjoy beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay!
Bayfront Park, also known as Brownies Beach, is a popular local spot about half a mile south of the boardwalk that’s a great place for picnicking or lounging in a beach chair with nothing but a book and the sound of the ocean humming nearby.
Both Thanksgiving Farm Winery and The Vineyards at Dodon are a 25-minute drive from North Beach. With an exclusive focus on European-style dry wines, Thanksgiving Farm Winery has cultivated an intimate wine tasting experience for small parties at their charming, historic vineyard. The owners ferment their wine in small batches on-site, and the charming, restored 1893 farmhouse where the tastings take place is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Vineyards at Dodon property includes three adjacent vineyards that follow painstaking viticulture practices to enhance the balance and biodiversity of the land. Here, they grow international vinifera varieties like Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay.
