Wedding Party

The people who helped shape us.

Timmy

Best Man

What do you say about your big brother when he's also your best man? The person that's literally been your day one since well... day one. The first person you tell you're going to propose and the first person you call when you need advice or bail money. The person who taught you how to ride jetskis and drink beers. The person who made you godfather and "Uncle Shawn" to three amazing rugrats. The person who includes you when he hangs out with his friends despite them being 22 when you're 12. The person who would (and has and I'm sure will again) be there for you whenever you need him. The person who you want to be like when you grow up, whenever that is. Whatever I would say about him wouldn't do him justice so you'll have to come to the wedding and meet him yourself!

Elizabeth

Maid of Honor

When I found out my mom was pregnant, I threw a fit. My 13 year old self was not okay with another child in the house, but the moment I met Elizabeth (aka Corn, Corny), she had me wrapped around her finger. I was her "Sissy" and she had a chunk of my heart. Fast forward 17 years, my baby sister is not such a baby anymore. She's officially outgrown me in height, can kick my ass in tennis, and is definitely more mature than Shawn and I both. She's an incredibly talented musician, loves her coffee and boba, and ridiculously smart. As if I didn't sound enough like a proud mom already, she's also schooling me in her Gen Z ways. Lil' Corn keeps me on my toes, and she also inspires me to do better everyday.

Big Mac (Dave)

Best Man

When you get stuck in the single dorms freshmen year of college, you assume you're gonna be stuck with a bunch of weird dudes. You'd be right, but as it would turn out, those weird dudes are also the best. Dave, "Big Mac", McFadien and I met at freshmen orientation day one at Pitt and lived on the same floor in Tower C. We then proceeded to spend the next 11 years (and counting) together as classmates, roommates, lab partners, engineers, nerds, Eagles' fans, Marvel enthusiasts, pong partners, and best friends. Whether it was dragging each other's drunk ass home from the bar or helping each other move through 6 different cities, Dave and I have always had each other's back and it's only fitting he'd have my back on Suzy's and my big day too.

Lindsey

Maid of Honor

If you told me I'd meet one of my best friends on my dorm floor freshmen year of college, I'd have said that sounded like a meet-cute from a cheesy coming-of-age movie. But it's true. In the last 13 years, we've grown up together. From dorms, to off-campus apartments, to bimonthly Columbus visits when she was getting her Masters in Toledo, Linds has been a constant in my life. Constantly ready to support when I felt lost (or hungover). Constantly listening when I was telling her about this guy I met at a birthday party. Constantly ready to celebrate the highs of life - birthdays, new jobs, and now a wedding! She's my ride or die, and also the girl who will treat the dance floor like her stage when an 80's song comes on (make room when "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" starts playing).

Steve

Groomsman

After graduating in 2015, I moved to Columbus, and pretty soon after that I met Steve through Dave (Big Mac). We became great friends instantly through our mutual interests which mainly include drinking beers, eating copious amounts of food, watching and rewatching movies to the point where we have full conversations in movie quotes, multiple St. Paddy's Day bar crawls, spending hours watching youtube videos, lighting marshmallows on fire, Crash Team Racing, backyard barbecues, and again drinking beers. If you couldn't tell from the mile long list, Steve is always down for pretty much anything! I know I can always count on Steve if I need a partner in crime.

Rae

Bridesmaid

Sometimes you are born with family, and sometimes you meet your family later. Rae is the older sister I didn't know I needed until I met her. Her spicy personality keeps you on your toes (or on your butt after the 2nd bottle). She’ll be the first to tell you what she thinks (especially if you’re not prompt, *cough like me *cough). Her extra-ness (as we like to call it) never ceases to make me laugh and encourages me to strive for the best. She’s someone who stands by her convictions and that same spirit can be seen in the love and support (and delicious food) she pours in those closest to her. I’m lucky to be one of these recipients and so grateful she’s in my life.

Dylan

Groomsman

It's move-in-day at Pitt freshmen year and I'm just about done putting all my stuff away in my 6ft x 10ft single dorm when I hear loud country music pumping through my wall. I go to investigate who's going to be my wall-mate for the next year, and I find this lanky, loud, red-head named Dylan. I knew from that day, that college was going to be alright. Dylan and I have probably forgotten more nights from college than we remember, but I can confirm that they were almost always fun and almost always legal. From concerts to tailgates to cabin trips in other states, Dylan is always a friend you want to have around if you want to have fun.

Shea

Bridesmaid

From awkward teenage years in front of the Starbucks wall (IYKYK), to 151 in the dorms, to figuring out adulthood, Shea has been there with me through every stage of life. In many ways, she’s like an older sister/role model to me. One who always marched to the beat of her own drum. She’s the girl in high school who asked me to go to a show where I learned a new music genre (Screamo). She’s the successful grown-ass woman who dressed up in the most terrifying children’s fish costume for Halloween 2 years ago (cut in half because it was too small), and somehow made it work. She's the friend who will tell you stories that make you laugh until you cry. She's also the friend who will be there to make you laugh if you cry.

Nick

Groomsman

As you might have guessed, Nick too was a Pitt Floor 7 member from day one. Aside from the usual Thursdays nights getting $1 beers in South Side, Nick and I bonded over our love of movies, games, and pop culture. There are few people in my circle that know as much about filming techniques, story building, movies, tv shows, so Nick is always my go-to guy to nerd out about latest movie release or show. When we're not nerding out, Nick is always ready if you show up at his door without notice or ready to pop over to Columbus from Pittsburgh for a weekend of fun with little to no details about what we're actually doing. I secretly like his dog, Duke more than him, but he'll never know... Oh! and if you see him at the wedding, get his autograph cause this guy is going to be famous!

Kyle

Bridesman

Do you have that outdoorsman friend who runs a marathon for fun…or is training to run 100 miles…because he can..and at any given moment, is likely hiking up or skiing down some mountain? Meet Kyle, my best guy friend who just by being in proximity, makes me a better human being. Kyle is literally one of the kindest humans you will ever meet (except when he’s hangry). To be his friend, is a reminder that you can run that extra mile, you can care about the earth more, you can drop it on the dance floor with no fears of what anyone else may think. It's crazy to think I’ve known him since high school. Even crazier to see how far we’ve come and how much we’ve grown. No matter where he is though, he always finds a way to check in on you...because he can.

Justin

Officiant

Have you ever had a friend who knows all your awkward moments and has them all recorded in full high definition? Have you ever asked this person to hold a microphone and talk to all your closest friends and family all at the same time? Have you ever asked this person to be the officiant at your wedding?... Yeah, we might have made a mistake. Kidding! I'm sure it won't be embarrassing for the rest of our lives. We're in good hands with Justin. When he's not marrying us, he's at 1,000 other weddings as one of Columbus' best wedding videographers, or laughing with his lovely fiancé Hannah and dog Sailor, or maybe working on one of his many projects, or grabbing a coffee/beer with a friend just because it's Tuesday. There's no one better to be our officiant.

the Rugrats

Ring Bearers + Flower Girl

At the wedding, Shawn's nephews, Brayden ("B") and Dylan ("D"), and niece Carly ("Carly"), will have huge rolls (probably with butter) and they will also have the important roles of ring bearers and flower girl, respectively. If you need to find them at the wedding, they'll be ones having a great time with the widest smiles on their faces, dancing better than everyone else (probably some moves they learned on youtube), and with desserts in both hands at all times. Just like any other great summer day, this day wouldn't be nearly as fun without them!
