Things To Do

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225
, (718) 623-7200

It's right next to Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park (Brooklyn's Central Park), so it's a good day trip location. If you go on the right day you might find a Smorgasburg in Prospect Park.

Sleep No More

530 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001
, (212) 904-1880

One of our favorite Off-Broadway shows. We've gone three times! It's a choose-your-own-adventure inside a macabre 5 story hotel where a story that combines Macbeth and Alfred Hitchcock unfolds through mostly interpretive dance. For Adults Only, but definitely a one of a kind NYC experience.

Museum of the Moving Image

36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria, NY 11106
, (718) 777-6800

They have models, props, costumes, and masks from all your favorite movies, including The Exorcist, Blade Runner, Star Wars, Seinfeld, and Citizen Kane. Sesame Street and the Muppets are also here!!

The Morgan Library & Museum

225 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10016

The former house of J.P. Morgan was converted into this cool museum that contains libraries full of first editions of numerous classic books going back centuries. They even have 3 copies of the Gutenberg Bible!!! If you're a lover of books, this would be the place to go.

Brooklyn Museum

200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238
, (718) 638-5000

It's right next to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park (Brooklyn's Central Park), so it's a good day trip location. If you go on the right day you might find a Smorgasburg in Prospect Park.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

1000 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10028
, (212) 535-7710

It's the friggin greatest art museum in the world. New York residents get to pay what they want, so if you plan to go during your trip, we might be able to get you in for practically nothing.

The Museum of Modern Art

11 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019
, (212) 708-9400

Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night is here among many other famous works of art, including Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans and Pablo Picasso's The Young Ladies of Avignon. The original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is part of their permanent collection - whatever that means. Maybe second only to The Met as the greatest art museum in America.

American Museum of Natural History

200 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024
, (212) 769-5100

New York residents get to pay what they want, so if you plan to go during your trip, we might be able to get you in for practically nothing.

Radio City Music Hall

1260 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10020
, (212) 465-6741

Get tickets to a show there.

TKTS Times Square

West 47th Street, New York, NY 10036
, (212) 912-9770

Get cheap day-of tickets at one of the TKTS booths to a Broadway show. They might not be the best seats, but they could be $100 or less.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

334 Furman Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

If you want a good view of the Statue of Liberty.

Governors Island

New York, NY 11231

A former military base on an island is now a free serene tourist attraction.
