FAQs

The Wedding Website of Shawn Inglima and John Cappello
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. It could help us flesh out this FAQ!
Question

Is there anything I need to know?

Answer

1. Please bring proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 24 hours. We still follow social distancing and want to ensure that our wedding won't become a super-spreader event. Failure to provide proof will deny you access into the venue. 2. Please to be sure to arrive before 6pm. If you arrive after ceremony start time, you will not be allowed access into the ceremony space.

Question

Should I bring my kids?

Answer

If you are comfortable bringing your children, we would love to have them! That said, the wedding cannot be guaranteed kid-friendly. Just make sure to include them in your RSVP.

Question

I'm a confirmed bachelor. Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We want to judge this on a case by case basis. If there is someone you wish to bring as a +1 whom we have not met or is not a long-term partner, ask us before you RSVP.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Jackets are optional since August in New York City is notoriously humid. That said, both ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

Question

Why all vegan food?

Answer

Because we are both vegan and we don't want to spend our money on meat and dairy products. Don’t worry; it’s vegan Italian. Mostly pasta dishes. No tofurky.

Question

Why a Thursday wedding?

Answer

1) Affordability. 2) Our first date was on September 1st, 2015. We get married on August 31st, then we start our 8th anniversary as husband and wife. It's romantic!!!

Question

Is COVID still a thing?

Answer

Covid is still out there and we will have the following protocols in place for our wedding. 1) Everyone attending is required to provide proof of a negative covid test taken within 24 hours of our wedding. You may bring the actual test itself or a photo of the negative test. Please present this to our bouncer at the door. 2) Masking is optional. KN95 masks will be provided at the door upon entry. 3) Those who attend will be required to be fully vaccinated (boosters too). 4) If you have Covid by the time of our wedding, please isolate and focus on your own health and do not risk infecting others. We will miss you!
