The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
You must check out the Nelson! It’s a wonderful museum we’ve been to many times and we can’t recommend it enough.
Boulevard Brewing Company
Boulevard Brewery is a great place to try some delicious KC beer and kill some time! We love their brewery tours, and tickets are $10 on weekdays. Some of our favorite Boulevard brews that you must try if you haven’t already are Tank 7, Pale Ale, and the Space Camper Cosmic IPA. Also Quirks are the BEST hard seltzers around, in our opinion!
Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium
We LOVE the Zoo! It’s a little bit of a drive from the Crossroads, but well worth it. They just opened a new Aquarium with sea otters and a sea turtle named Tortellini! You also must go see our buds, Kashmir and Randy, in the Red Panda habitat.
Woodyard Bar-B-Que
You can’t go wrong with any BBQ restaurant in KC, but if we had to choose our favorite spot, it would definitely be Woodyard! You must try their burnt ends, and if you like chili, their burnt end chili is to die for. Plus it’s only a 10 minute drive from the Crossroads!
The Fritz Hutchison Band
So this isn't a thing to do in KC, but it is a thing to do before our wedding day! Give The Fritz Hutchison Band a listen on Spotify so you can fall in love with them like we did! And also so you can familiarize yourself with some of the songs you will hear at our reception! Some of our favorites are "Schnatterling Dream", "Ladder Shake", and "Wide Wild Acres."
