Tell me about your hotel block...

Answer

Please reach out to Shawn or Skyler or the hotel itself to see if we are able to extend the hotel block. Both hotels will only add 2 or so rooms at a time once we've reached our capacity. If we are unable to extend the hotel blocks further, we will look at adding another hotel. Prairie Meadows is for the night of the wedding only. They have been flexible if you are planning to be in town for the night of 7/31 as well. Please give them a call if you need an extra night. The Hyatt - Des Moines/Altoona has some availability the night of 7/31 and then the block for 8/1.

Can I bring a date?

Your invitation will detail whether or not you have a plus one.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire (dressy separates, cocktail dresses, or suits) to help us celebrate. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white.

Are kids being invited to the wedding?

Answer

We are only allowing for those children participating in the wedding ceremony to be in attendance. We do understand that this may be an inconvenience and hope that you are still able to attend.

I can’t attend the wedding. Is there a way for me to still participate?

Answer

Yes. Our venue will live stream our ceremony. We will have a link to give you access.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance when you RSVP. Skyler is gluten free and a majority of the food is going to be gluten-free.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes. Both the ceremony and the reception have ample free parking in their parking lot.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
