...on a chilly December night in 2022 when fate (and a dating app) brought us together. Our first date at Iron Ranger in St. Paul turned into an unforgettable evening—one filled with endless conversation, connections, laughter, and a mutual reluctance to say goodnight. We closed down one bar, found another, and closed that one down too. From that night on, we knew we had stumbled upon something truly special. In the whirlwind of the holiday season, we managed to squeeze in one more date before parting ways to spend time with family. The evening we returned to the Twin Cities, we went on our third date, and we were pretty much inseparable from that point on. Our bond deepened as we shared our love for traveling, food, cocktails, the Twin Cities, Minnesota, and, most importantly, time with friends and family. Over the next two years, our connection grew stronger, filled with countless adventures—whether it was attending numerous sporting events, teaching each other golf and yoga, exploring parks with Norton, hopping on a plane or taking a road trip, learning how to make new foods, or trying countless restaurants. Then, on December 14, 2024, just one day shy of our second anniversary, Shaun asked Janelle to marry him while in Pensacola, FL. And she said yes! Now, we’re beyond excited to celebrate our love in a place that holds special meaning—Jamaica. Not only is it a stunning backdrop for our big day, but it’s also where Janelle served in the Peace Corps, making it even more memorable.
