Question

What safety protocols for COVID-19 are in place at Solaz and Cabo?

Answer

Cabo's economy relies greatly on tourism. For that reason, they are taking numerous measures to ensure the safety of travelers and guests. The bride and groom visited Cabo in October 2020 spending a few day at Solaz, which felt incredibly safe. Guests temperatures were checked upon arrival at the resort. Taxi drivers and hotel staff wore masks at all times. Sanitizer dispensers were available throughout the resort. Upon checkin, there was a welcome bag in the room which include cleanings wipes, sanitizers and complimentary masks.

Question

How do I get a COVID test to return to the US?

Answer

Effective Jan 26th, all travelers traveling abroad (US citizens included) must show a negative COVID test result 72 hours before departure in order to return to the US. Our resort Solaz will have a test center available onsite, available every morning to take an antigen (rapid) test that provides a result in typically 1 hour, with a maximum of 4 hours. Tests cost $30. If you are not staying at Solaz, we've been informed that other resorts and hotels will also have test centers. Please reach out to your resort to confirm. Alternatively, you can get a test at the local hospital or bring your own rapid test kit. We highly advise guests to get this test a day or two before their departure. We’ve confirmed the antigen test will suffice for all the major airlines flying to and from Cabo including Alaska, Southwest, United, American and Delta. We highly encourage you cross check any COVID testing requirements specific to the airline you're flying or the state you are traveling from.
