Wedding Party

Gabrielle Wise

Maid of Honor

Despite having attended the same college, their friendship didn't bloom until after Sharon had already graduated. For many years it was a mystery as to how they had gone from acquaintances to best friends so effortlessly in a few short months, and loved that God had brought them together. Over the years they've overcome spartan race obstacles, Avalon betrayals (Sorry Gabbi!), tried all kinds of new foods, and are constantly in pursuit of new & unique experiences. Having weathered a variety of relational challenges, they've developed a deep level of trust and transparency that can be relied on in any circumstance. And this year they're both getting married, and will get to celebrate and experience another exciting event in their lives together!

Bridesmaid

A friendship born on the kindergarten school bus, it prevails to this day. As kids they were mischief makers, cutting down trees to build boats and flying down neighborhood roads on skateboards tied to a scooter with a jump rope, to name but a few. Throughout the years they outgrew that phase and redirected that energy towards all kinds of pursuits, creating stop motion chemistry music videos, binging deathnote episodes as fast as limewire would allow, making handmade notebooks and collaborating on digital art pieces. They love going on adventures meandering through cities and trying new foods, cafes and shops, appreciating unique architecture and decor, and continuing to explore their love of art and design together.

Jessica Poon

Bridesmaid

Having known Sharon since the day she was born, their relationship has evolved through all the life stages. Jess has taught her a multitude of things from childhood to adulthood, and has been an unwavering source of affirmation, resourcefulness, and wisdom. There are only a few people who could've convinced her to even consider running any kind of race, and Jess was one of them. She was by her side when a 5k felt like a marathon and a few years later, when a half marathon felt impossible, but with Jess running backwards shouting words of encouragement, every race ended in success! Though their interests have shifted a bit, together they still enjoy being active (without Jess, Sharon would have succumbed to being a full on potato), trying new recipes like making their own mochi and peanut butter, and trying to DIY and thrift as much as possible.
