Question

Where should I Stay in Lisbon?

Answer

Here is a brief explanation of the neighborhoods in Lisbon: Baixa & Chiado (The Center): Best for first-time visitors. This is the heart of the city, mostly flat, and filled with major sights, shopping, and easy transport. Alfama (Old World): Historic and romantic. Expect steep, winding alleys, beautiful tiles, and traditional Fado music. Note: Very hilly with lots of stairs! Avenida da Liberdade (Luxury): A grand, tree-lined boulevard home to high-end designer shops and Lisbon’s premier luxury hotels. Príncipe Real (Chic & Trendy): A stylish neighborhood with boutique shopping, botanical gardens, and many of the city's best modern restaurants. Bairro Alto & Cais do Sodré (Nightlife): Perfect if you want to be steps away from the best bars and "Pink Street." This area stays lively (and loud) until the early morning.
