Are you having an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes! An unplugged wedding ceremony is one where we kindly ask our guests to turn off and put away all electronic devices—like smartphones, tablets, and cameras—during the ceremony. This allows everyone to be fully present with us in the moment, without the distractions of screens or cameras. It also helps our professional photographer capture beautiful, unobstructed views of the ceremony without competing with phones and cameras in the aisle or the sound of electronic devices. We only request that devices be put away during the ceremony itself. We encourage you to take plenty of photos during the reception and share them with us! We'll provide details on how you can share your captured memories with us and everyone else.

Yes, we have reserved rooms at the Residence Inn by Marriott Decatur Emory Area. Please see the Travel page to book your room.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

To help make our celebration even more special, we would like to request that our guests wear formal wedding attire in the color sandy beige. This means tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses in the color sandy beige. We believe this choice will add a beautiful and cohesive touch to the overall atmosphere.

Will guest use the POV digital disposable camera app?

Answer

Yes! We're inviting each of you to see our wedding day from your unique point of view! By using the ' POV- Disposable Camera Events' app on your smartphones, you can take photos and videos throughout our celebration (except for the actual ceremony as this is unplugged), capturing moments as you experience them. It’s like having a wedding album from every angle, and we can’t wait to see our special day through your eyes. We will provide you with a specific QR code or link for specific integration to our wedding event.

Where is the wedding held?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors at the Historic Dekalb Courthouse (aka Dekalb History Center). Address: 101 E Court Square, Decatur, GA 30030 .

Answer

Guest Parking: All guest parking is public parking. There are 300 metered spaces (free after 6pm) and 2,200 deck/lot spaces.
