Question

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING RECEPTION

Answer

With the Delta Variant numbers rising and hitting so close to home for many of us recently, we have to think about everyone's safety. We have some family members that we need to protect. With that said, after praying and giving it a lot of thought, we have peace with deciding to change our reception to a private celebration (family members and wedding party only). We were looking forward to celebrating with all of you, but we pray that you will understand and respect our decision to change our reception for the safety of all of our loved ones (which also includes you). We would love for you to still attend the ceremony because your presence at the ceremony will be the best gift. We have a beautiful ceremony planned and would love for you to witness it. Thank you for understanding and for your continued love and prayers. Respectfully, Ferlene & Sharif

Question

Any special requirements due to COVID?

Answer

We understand concerns of attending our wedding due to Covid. We respect each person's personal comfort level and know that there will be invited guests that will choose not to attend for personal safety concerns and that is absolutely understandable. We pray that each person will use wisdom and take their safety and the safety of those they will be around, in consideration when deciding to attend. We do ask that each of you will be responsible enough not to attend if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to Covid within 2 weeks of our wedding day. We considered the suggestions of requiring a negative Covid test and/or proof of being fully vaccinated. But, we feel that as adults, everyone can be responsible for keeping themselves and others safe and healthy. We do encouraged guests to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status, when indoors.

Question

Will the special day be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both. The ceremony will be outdoors at the Japanese Garden located in Micke Grove Park (Lodi, CA) Please note there is a $6.00 entry/parking fee at Micke Grove. The reception will be indoors at the Oasis Café located in Oasis Church (Stockton, CA)

Question

Are we allowed to bring a “+ 1”?

Answer

Due to Covid and our desire to only invite the people we feel close to and who are important to us, we are not allowing a "plus 1". We hope you understand and respect our choice to do this. You will not be able to add a guest to your RSVP.

Question

Answer

Question

Attire - formal or casual (wedding colors)?

Answer

It's not a formal, fancy wedding. You are welcome to dress to impress, wear something dressy or something cute and comfortable. Side Note: for those who like to dress according to wedding theme/colors: Our colors are gray and shades of blue (powder blue, dusty blue, steel blue and marine/navy).

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We have hired "Taquiza" (street tacos caterer) Roberto and his family to cook us up some delicious tacos! Who doesn't love tacos, right?!?! For our reception, we chose to have a simple and family style setting. The café set up is perfect for this and even has couches and benches! There will not be assigned seating. We want everyone to mingle and have a great time! You are our closest friends and family members so don't be shy! Meet your new family!
