Where are the Ceremony and Reception taking place?

Answer

All wedding events will take place at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL (2000 N Ocean Blvd). The Ceremony (as well as the cocktail hour) will be taking place on the Oceanview Terrace, which is located on the rooftop of the Pelican Grand. The Reception will be taking place in the Oceanview Ballroom which is indoors and located one level down from the terrace.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:15pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm on Sunday, January 14th.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kids, our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. We hope you understand, and will still be able to celebrate our special day with us!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Wedding: Beach Formal Suits in lighter hues/fabrics and lightweight long gowns are welcome, as are floral prints, darker suits, chic cocktail dresses, and dressy jumpsuits. Find inspiration for your beach formal look: https://pin.it/2OKS2kQ Welcome Party: Dressy Casual/Beachy Wear linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, Bermuda shorts, maxi dresses, rompers, and sundresses. Go bold with bright colors, beachy patterns, and summer fabrics!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in Fort Lauderdale in January is around 75°. There is a chance of the weather reaching a high of 85° and at night it can drop to a low of 60°. Come ready to enjoy the beach and the lazy river during the day, but also be prepared to pack something just in case it gets chilly.

How should I book my stay?

Answer

We have secured a room block at the Pelican Grand for the nights of January 13th and 14th. You may book your room on the Pelican Grand's website, www.pelicanbeach.com, or by calling reservations at 800-525-6232. Be sure to apply or mention our discount GROUP CODE when booking: 9714968 If there are no longer rooms available in our block at the Pelican Grand, you may book a room in our room block at the nearby Cambria Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach using this link: www.choicehotels.com/reservations/groups/LM16P3 **Rooms must be booked by November 30th.** See our Travel & Hotel page for more information.

Will there be parking options available?

Answer

For local guests parking at the venue, there is a special wedding rate of $14 on the day of the wedding only. If you are flying in from out of town, we highly recommend that you use Uber or Lyft from the airport. If you do intend on parking at the venue, please note that the Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a boutique hotel that charges for overnight parking. The group rate for our wedding is $39 per night, not including valet gratuity or tax.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP no later than November 18, 2023. You can RSVP directly through our website.

Should I eat dinner before the Welcome Party?

Answer

Depends on how hungry you are! There will be passed hors d'oeuvres, a Mac N Cheese bar, and a Caesar Salad station at the party. Beer, wine, and other non-alcoholic refreshments will also be provided.

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please submit your request with your online RSVP by November 18th.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! You can visit our Zola Registry by clicking on the Registry tab on our website.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, but please avoid flash photography and be careful not to block the view of other guests or our photographer/videographer.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

We will have a gift table available for cards and small gifts. We recommend shipping larger gifts ahead of the wedding.

What is your COVID-19 policy?

Answer

The safety of our guests and vendors is extremely important to us. While masks are not required, we do ask that all guests be fully vaccinated and boostered in order to attend our wedding.
