It all started at Club New Level—the perfect place for a bartender and a DJ to cross paths. What began as playful banter quickly became the highlight of our nights. Maurice loved to pick on me, and I always joked that I needed to call his mom to let her know how mean he was being to me. Without missing a beat, he’d say, “My mom would just tell you, that boy likes you—that’s it.” And he was right. Behind the jokes and laughter, something real was growing. Over time, our playful moments turned into late-night conversations and shared dreams. Our friendship grew deeper and turned into a beautiful new relationship. Not long after, we welcomed our greatest blessing—our son, Isaiah. From that moment on, our journey together became even more meaningful. Then came a moment we’ll never forget. On New Year’s Day, shortly after screaming “Happy New Year!” Maurice completely surprised me when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. With a joyful “yes,” our love story entered its next chapter. Now, here we are, ready to celebrate our journey with all of you as we say “I do.”
