The Wedding Website of Shar H and Chad V
Our wedding will take place at Barnabas Landing on Keats Island, a quiet, mostly residential island just off the coast of Vancouver, British Columbia. There are no cars (or paved roads!) on the island, making it the perfect place to unplug and celebrate together for the weekend. Getting there will be a little adventure, but we promise - it’s worth it.

Hotel

Barnabas Landing

590 Skyline Rd
Gibsons, BC V0N 1V1, Canada

You’ll be staying on-site at Barnabas Landing for the main wedding weekend (Friday and Saturday nights - May 15 and 16). No need to book lodging for those nights!

Flight

Vancouver International Airport

The nearest airport is Vancouver International Airport (YVR), with direct flights available from many major U.S. cities via Delta, American, United, and Air Canada. After landing at YVR, it’s about a 1-hour car ride to Horseshoe Bay (or longer during rush hour). You can take a taxi, Uber, or rental car.

Travel Note

Driving to Horseshoe Bay

Ferries depart from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal: 6750 Keith Rd, West Vancouver, BC V7W 2V1, Canada From the airport or downtown, the best way to get there is via taxi or rideshare. → Drive time from YVR: ~1 hour → Drive time from downtown: ~40 minutes → Estimated ride cost: $40–$80 USD There is paid parking available ($15-30) at Horseshoe Bay if you’re renting a car or driving.

Travel Note

Getting to Keats Island

The only way to reach the venue is via a private ferry, provided for our guests. This ferry will depart from Horseshoe Bay, about 40–60 minutes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) or downtown Vancouver. There is paid parking at Horseshoe Bay for $15-30 CAD/day. ⛴️ Ferry Schedule Departing from Horseshoe Bay to Barnabas Landing: →Friday, May 15: 2:00 PM / 6:00 PM →Saturday, May 16: 10:00 AM →Sunday, May 17: 8:00 AM / 11:00 AM The ferry ride is about 40 minutes long. While the waters are usually calm, bring motion sickness meds if you're sensitive to boat travel. 🚤 Note: This is a private charter - not part of the public BC Ferry system.

Travel Note

Other Hotel Information

If you're arriving early or staying longer, we recommend booking a hotel in either: →Downtown Vancouver - Great for sightseeing and food 🏨Hotel Recs: Fairmont Waterfront (4☆), Hyatt Regency (4☆), Sheraton (4☆), Sandman Suites (3☆); I would avoid anything on Granville Street →Richmond - Convenient and close to YVR (Great Chinese food!) 🏨Hotel Recs: Sheraton Vancouver Airport (4☆), Sandman Signature (4☆), Hilton Vancouver Airport (4☆), SureStay by Best Western (2☆)

Travel Note

Traveling to Canada

All guests traveling from the U.S. will need a valid passport to enter Canada and return home. No visas or additional fees are required. ✈️Note: U.S. customs are completed at YVR before your return flight, so plan to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours early for your departure.
