Shantel recently graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. She received her Bachelors in Sociology Human Services with a double minor in Criminal Justice and Substance Abuse Studies. In the fall of '22 Shantel will be attending the University of Oklahoma to obtain her Masters in Social Work. She currently works as a Behavioral Health Case Manager and her goal is to become a Correctional Social Worker.

Tobi is currently in school at Rose State. Once he graduates, he will have a Bachelors in both Business and Software Engineering. Tobi will undoubtedly be an entrepreneur as he already has started brainstorming so many businesses he could create/join. Tobi ultimately wants to build an empire to continue the Salam legacy.
Lashae Hayden
Mother of the Bride
Lashae is the mom of all moms. She has raised Shantel on her own and has taught her daughter to be independent. Shantel gets her sass from her mom, and Lashae is quickly realizing Shantel has grown to be just like her. Lashae and Shantel are truly bestfriends. Lashae has supported Shantel in absolutely everything she does. Lashae is that mom who shows up to every single event Shantel has, and she was definitely the crazy track mom throughout middle school and highschool. Lashae has set the perfect example of being a woman of Christ for Shantel.
Omoyemi Salam

Omoyemi is the stunning mother of Tobi. Shantel is now blessed to be able to call her mom as well. Yemi is such a hard worker and does so much for her family and those in the community. Yemi is a nurse, so of course she has a servant's heart. Yemi has raised 3 beautiful children. Yemi teases Shantel and Tobi that she wants 4 grandkids and one needs to be a girl who looks just like her. Yemi is the perfect example of a woman of God, and Shantel is so, so happy to have her as her mom.
Jaycie Brown

Shantel and Jaycie have been friends since they were in diapers. The two rekindled their friendship when they had class together in 6th grade. Since then, the two have been the very best of friends. The two could always be spotted together at track meets. Jaycie was Shantel's very first bestfriend and the relationship soon blossomed into a sisterhood. Going to college in separate cities did not hinder the two from remaining close. Jaycie's family is Shantel's family, and Jaylie is of course Shantel's bestie. Jaycie is the definition of a friend that truly shows unconditional love. Jaycie is the most caring, loving sister Shantel could ask for.

Ava and Shantel knew each other as kids but didn't get close until 6th grade. Ava and Shantel have been known as THE dynamic duo. Ebony & Ivory, Khloe & Malika. Ava and Shantel create a party anywhere they go together. If you need a laugh, hang out with these two. Jaycie often has to be the mom of the group when the three of them are together. Ava truly understands Shantel like none other. There is never a dull moment when Ava is in the mix. Shantel is so blessed to have Ava as her chosen sister.
Daphni Jennings

Daphni and Shantel became besties in middle school. The two even share the same birthday. They were always spotted together in highschool, they were even known as each others "permanent lunch date." Daphni and Shantel attended UCO together and were roommates freshman year. Daphni is Shantel's "if you do it I'll do it" friend. Daphni is always so willing to do simple things for Shantel like cooking, driving, and even doing her hair. Daphni has such a giving heart and Shantel has so much love for her.

Tosin is the sister of Tobi. Tosin is currently in medical school Nigeria. Tosin is the sweetest, beautiful, most gentle soul. She is so calming and such a light in the lives of those around her. Tosin is so caring and loving. It is always such a pleasure to talk to her on facetime. Shantel teases Tobi by saying his mom made perfection when she made Tosin and then was stuck with Tobi as her troublemaker kid. Tosin is one of the only people who can keep Tobi in check. Both Shantel and Tobi are blessed to have Tosin as their big sister.

Breauna is the little sister of Shantel. Bre and Shantel's moms are besties. Breauna has grown up beside Shantel and both have went through many milestones together. Breauna has always been with Shantel for things such as prom dress and homecoming dress shopping. Breauna has always been Shantel's sidekick and that will never change. It is only right that Breauna stand beside Shantel on her special day. Breauna will always have a special place in Shantel's heart as her little sister.

Armani is the daughter of Lyssa and Michael. Armani loves eating, playing, and cocomelon. She is Tobi's goddaughter but she loves Shantel the most. Armani is the cutest baby girl and she will make the perfect flower girl.

Brayden is the little cousin of Shantel. Brayden is all boy. He loves football, baseball, and playing on his PS4. He is Shantel's mini bestfriend. Brayden and Shantel are partners in crime and love driving their grandma crazy. No matter how old he gets he will always be known as Shantel's baby.

Michael is one of Tobi's bestfriends. Michael loves making fun of Tobi and everyone else. Michael is currently pursuing his dreams of becoming a model. Michael enjoys working out, and playing soccer with George (Tobi is too lazy to do physical activity with them). Michael is extremely competitive and it's so hilarious playing games with him.

George is one of Tobi's bestfriends. He is quiet and reserved but once you get to know him you see how fun/funny he is. George is definitely the most mature out of Tobi, himself, and Michael. Having the 3 together is a good time.
Roosevelt Barrow

Roosevelt is the cousin of Shantel. Growing up the two were absolute bestfriends. He used to be known as "little man" but he has definitely outgrown that nickname. When Roosevelt and Tobi met they instantly clicked. We are sure Roosevelt is so happy to have Tobi around so he is not the only boy surrounded by all the girls in our family.

Ifeoluwa and Tobi go way back, these cousins were really troublesome and close back then, they been friends since age 9-10 before Ife and his family travelled to USA, ifeoluwa is always there for tobi even when they don’t speak for months. Tobi is always glee and happy when talking about/to ifeoluwa.
