Maid of Honor
Yazmine is Jessica's younger sister and the first baby she ever held- a huge life moment for Jessica! Despite having grown up in different households, the two have always been extremely close and the epitome of "two peas in a pod". Yazmine moved up to Washington recently and Jessica couldn't be happier to have her so close. Fun fact: Yazmine & Jessica got tipsy at a winery and decided, spur of the moment, to get matching tattoos!
Best Man
Dez and Joey met in Freshman year of High School and quickly bonded over their love of Lil Wayne and have been inseparable ever since. Joey truly values his close friendship with Dez and knows that he can always count on Dez to have his back. No matter what you throw at them, they always make the best team. Fun fact: The two made a secret group freshman year of high school, “The Mundos”
Groomsman
Josue is Jessica's youngest sibling and one of the brightest people she knows. Although they didn't grow up in the same household, Jessica has always felt blessed to have such a caring and loving brother. One of Jessica's most cherished memories was when her brother was a toddler & he'd come running to the front door screaming "CECE!!!" to greet her whenever she'd come to visit. Fun fact: Josue and Jessica once got food poisoning in Mexico together the day before a 10+ hour road trip.
Bridesmaid
Renee is Joey's older sister and somebody he deeply admires and looks up to because she always sets the bar for him really high and pushes him to be a better person. Jessica feels blessed to gain another sister, especially one as radiant and caring as Renee. Fun fact: When Joey was 2 years old Renee would push him in his red and yellow little tikes cozy coupe car to the fire station every week so he could sit in the fire engines and meet all the firefighters. They knew him on a first-name basis and anticipated his arrival each week.
Bridesmaid
Jessica and Brooke met on the first day of "teacher" college. The two became close friends as they spent two years carpooling to night class, cracking jokes during lectures, and even working as teacher interns at the same school. Brooke continues to be Jessica's funniest friend and one of the most loyal and caring people she knows. Fun fact: On the way to class, Jessica once opened her sunroof (on accident) in a car wash with Brooke and she had to show up to class covered in car wash water, which made for a funny story! (Jessica managed to come out of the ordeal completely dry)
Groomsman
Dan and Joey have been friends since high school. They get along so well because they both have the vibe, "I'm here to party, but in a classy & respectable manner." Except on the mountains with their snowboards, that's where they turn into bad dudes Fun fact: Dan feels there are too many great times to pick one to highlight...all he knows is whenever he's with Jess and Joey, they always make the best of even the worst.
Bridesmaid
Selim and Jessica met through their ex-boyfriends nearly a decade ago. Jessica feels that the best thing to come out of that relationship was her friendship with Selim and loves how loyal and free-spirited she is. The two have bonded over their love of hosting and planning themed parties, hiking, and getting dolled up. Fun fact: Selim loves their friendship but her liver doesn't.
Groomsman
Joey met Reilyn over 10 years ago during Freshmen year. The two always have fun together but the one key thing Joey admires and feels lucky to have Reilyn in his corner is he's such a caring and giving person. Kind of like a big teddy bear. He's also the one person who we can always count on being on time. Fun fact: Reilyn is Joey’s biggest best friend (literally). Over the years they have bonded on sports, cars, careers and creating the perfect Manhattan each one better than the last.
Bridesmaid
Ciara and Jessica met on the first day of high school and happened to be wearing the exact same shirt. The two became fast friends when someone in their class attempted to embarrass them for wearing the same shirt and Jessica exclaimed that they were actually friends and had planned it. They've been crafting and adventuring together ever since! Fun fact: The two have been to Italy and Hawaii together!
Groomsman
Joey met Alex in first grade and quickly became the two class clowns throughout elementary school. Joey admits Alex was clown #1 and he was clown #2. The two continue to have fun together and share many laughs, Joey feels fortunate to have a lifelong friend like Alex. Fun fact: Alex taught Joey how to use a socket wrench at 21.
Bridesmaid
Vicky is Jessica's oldest cousin on her dad's side of the family. Despite having over a dozen first cousins, Jessica has always admired and looked up to Vicky the most. She's the type of person that Jessica would choose to have close to her heart whether they were related or not. Fun fact: Jessica and Vicky backpacked across Europe including an impromptu stop at Disneyland Paris.
Groomsman
Joey and Jeff met playing Freshman football and quickly bonded over the fact that the coach always referred to them by each other's last names... even though they look nothing alike! Something they still laugh about today. Jeff continues to be one of Joey's funniest and closest friends. Fun fact: (Jeff didn't submit a fun fact, which is a very Jeff thing to do)
Officiant
Sam worked at the same restaurant where Joey and Jessica met back in 2013. Over the years Sam has been a wonderful and loyal friend to both of them- he even helped raise their first dog, Chico, during a time when the three of them were roommates. Sam is a dear friend to both Joey & Jessica and they feel fortunate they can have one of their best friends officiate their wedding. Fun fact: Sam was there when Joey called "dibs" on Jessica when she first started working at the restaurant.
Ring Bearer
Jackson (5) and Sawyer (4) are Renee's two boys and the nephews to Joey and Jessica. It goes without saying they are absolutely adored and loved. We have asked them to be our "ring security" for the wedding. Fun fact: The first time Joey ever felt a pregnant belly was when Renee was pregnant with Jackson. And the first baby he ever held was also Jackson which has always given them a special bond.
Mother of the Bride
Lisa raised Jessica as a single mother and taught her the value in being hard working and independent. Lisa never takes life too seriously and embraces the fun side of things which always inspires Jessica to be the same. Lisa loved Joey for her daughter since the beginning and can't wait for the two of them to start a family so she can finally be a grandmother.
Mother of the Groom
Throughout Joey's life his Mom has always been there to put a smile on his face. Even when he's being difficult, she seems to have an unlimited supply of medicine to make him feel better. Whether it's advice, laughs, or looking at old pictures he always leaves her place smiling. Her resilience and ability to find the light in all situations is something he is truly grateful to have in his life. It's helped him become the person he is today. It's also been said that Joey was born with her sense of humor, seriously, they are hilarious.
Father of the Bride
Like her mom, Jessica's dad also instilled in her a hard work ethic and taught her to give 100% in everything she does. José also raised Jessica with high expectations to be polite and respectful to others. His love of cooking for friends & family and sharing in good food and drinks has always inspired her in the kitchen and as a hostess.
Father of the Groom
You know those quotes or sayings you hear throughout your life that just stick with you and you think about when you need a little extra help? Joey owes his to his Dad. He has always told Joey very simply, "Joey, if you work hard and give it your all, good things will happen." He's never lost sight of that and carry it with him everywhere he goes. Joe has never been shy to have those tough conversations with Joey and for that he is so thankful because it pushes him to be a better man.
