Things To Do

We are excited to celebrate with everyone in the neighborhood that we've called home for many years (separately and together). Please find some of our favorite spots below, and we hope you enjoy your time in New York City!

Central Park

New York, NY

Weather-permitting, go for a long walk -- we recommend walking around the reservoir or exploring the area around the lake and Bethesda Fountain at the 72nd Street Transverse.

Museum of the City of New York

1220 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10029

If it's a bit colder, stop into this smaller museum to learn about the history of the city!

Flex Mussels

1431 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10028

One of our favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. Don't forget to get the donuts for dessert!

Uva

1486 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10075

Shannon's favorite Italian restaurant; one of our first dates was here. The gnocchi or the pappardelle are both favorites, and if you can't decide between pastas, you can order a half portion of each!

Up Thai

1411 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10021

Reggie's favorite Thai spot

Sushi Goda

1576 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10128

Catch & Chop

1600 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10128

We love to sit at the bar and get an old-fashioned (Reggie) and an extra-dirty vodka martini (Shannon) and split the steak sandwich and truffle fries!

Chez Nick

1737 York Avenue, New York, NY 10128

The burger is legendary in the neighborhood.

La Bomboniera

1378 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10128

Pil Pil

265 East 78th Street, New York, NY 10075

We love the tapas here!

Delizia 92

1762 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10128

For a true New York slice in the neighborhood!

The Penrose Bar

1590 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10028

A Yorkville staple for cocktails and elevated bar food.

American Museum of Natural History

200 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024

A short jaunt across Central Park from the UES, and great for kids!

The High Line

New York, NY 10011

If you head downtown, you can explore this elevated park that was converted from a former train line. If you exit at the south end (Gansevoort Ave), walk a few blocks to Kobrick Coffee where we had our first date!

For all the days along the way
