The drive

It's a 3 hour drive from the airport on highways through cities, farmland, and forests, or up to a 4.5 hour scenic (windy) coastal drive up highway 1. Due to the long drive and Bay Area traffic, we recommend most guests drive up Friday morning after rush hour or early Saturday and stay for at least 2 nights. Please consider carpooling with others to minimize cars. Non-USA guests may need an international license to rent a car. Let us know if you would like some help finding a carpool. Baby on Board

Babies and kids are welcome at our wedding weekend! But you may want to consider child care arrangements for toddlers and tweens during the wedding. We realize this is a big trip for many of you with young ones, and want you to feel welcomed. We will have one small indoor space designated for our youngest guests + parents to use at the wedding. However, please be aware that our venue is a very rustic setting of fields and barns that are not the most kid-friendly. For those parents that would like to cut loose for the wedding night, but bring the kiddos for the rest of the trip, we are happy to put you in touch with each other to coordinate group childcare with a local relative or babysitter. If you don't have a US passport, you will need a visa or ESTA + COVID vax proof

UK and European citizens will need to apply for an ESTA no later than 1 week in advance of travel (and we recommend applying earlier). Others may need to apply earlier; please confirm with your local US embassy. Obviously please also make sure your passport is valid for 6+ months after arrival. Health and Travel Insurance

While we definitely want this celebration week to go off without a hitch, the last couple years taught us that all plans need contingencies. We recommend you consider travel insurance and/or change / cancellation policies for your flight, rental car, and accommodation bookings. For our international guests, you may want to consider travel health insurance since the US healthcare insurance system sucks.
