Churchill Downs is the Home of the Kentucky Derby. Earlier this year, the 150th Run for the Roses occurred. They have a wonderful museum where you can learn about the history of horse racing in Kentucky.
Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory
Whether or not you are a fan of baseball, you need to stop by the Louisville Slugger Museum and see the 120 feet tall Louisville Slugger Baseball Bat. If you have time, tour the museum to learn the history of baseball and see how bats used by major league ball players are made. You can even get a custom bat or mini bat to take home.
Evan Williams Bourbon Experience
If you are a fan of bourbon or just want to give it a try, you need to check out the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Tour the first distillery on Whiskey Row, learn about the history of bourbon, and how it is made. Then finish up your tour with a tasting.
