The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Since cocktail hour will be outdoors, we highly recommend that ladies wear block heels or wedges.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
For information on all of the weekend's events, please refer to the detail cards received with your invitations in the mail or visit the 'Schedule' portion of our wedding website.
We recommend that you arrive a 1/2 hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
Our wedding is strictly invite only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
For more information on the hotel block that we have booked for our guests, please visit the 'Travel' portion of our wedding website. Due to the location of the venue, there are also several other hotels, Airbnb, Vrbo, and bed & breakfast options in the area.
We ask that you RSVP by July 31, 2022 at latest. Please RSVP directly on our wedding website. We did not provide an option for our guests to mail back RSVP cards.
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #insicknessandinkelk so we can all share in our wedding memories together!
Yes, there will be a special diet option. This option will be listed as part of the menu options for you to choose when you RSVP on our wedding website. If you have additional diet concerns, please share them with us in the notes section while selecting your meal option and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Our Welcome Drinks at 8:30PM will be held outdoors at Lodges 53 & 54 on the lake. Our ceremony will be held at a church, so there are no outdoor components to this part of our day. Weather permitting, our cocktail hour from 5:00-6:00PM will be held outdoors. Ladies - we would recommend wearing wedges or block heels because cocktail hour will be on the grass. Our reception from 6:00PM-10:00PM will be indoors, regardless of the weather. Our After Party at The Orchard will be outdoors. It is a great space for our guests to keep the party going, but we want everyone to let their hair down, change into comfy clothes, and relax. The Orchard will have drinking & yard games, a fire pit, and a very casual atmosphere to end our big day.
The best way to get to the church and the venue are to plug the addresses into a GPS. However, our venue is off of some back roads, so lookout for black & white wedding signs that are personalized for our big day and will help direct you to the venue.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures on the venue grounds. Guests can feel free to head to the venue as there are plenty of guests staying on the venue grounds that I am sure would welcome you to their cabins for a drink or two. Additionally, there is a list of local restaurants provided in welcome bags and on the 'Things to Do' portion of our wedding website in case you want to explore some local spots before the cocktail hour.
