It was during their early college days when they were both working at the same retail store that went by far too many names. One day she was bored of being alone in the back of the store in her department, and decided that it was time to make the new quiet guy her friend. After weeks of going up towards his department, and constantly "bothering" him while he did his busy work, he decided that she was pretty funny and began to look forward to working when her name was on the schedule. It was during that time an amazing friendship blossomed.
Jump to two years later and you would find him patiently waiting for the day she would say yes to being his girlfriend. He had confessed to liking her before, but she was not ready at the time. However, during those two years of inside jokes, study sessions, six flag days, movie nights and late night talks she realized she loved him. So on that Sunday so many years ago they finally became official. One does say that good things come to those who wait, right?
It was their six year dating anniversary when they took a trip to Washington State. There they took a day trip to go hiking at Mt. Rainier to go see a water fall they found in a travel magazine, called Comet Falls. Even though it was the second day of their trip, he decided they should take the long way to falls that had them climbing up elevation they were not prepared for. They would both agree the views were worth it though. After hours of hiking and a break for sandwiches they finally made it to the waterfall. While she was distracted by the beauty of the falls he snuck the ring out of the backpack, turned her towards him and asked her to marry him. She was so dumbstruck that she almost forgot to answer! However, once she was able to say yes, she hugged him so hard she almost knocked them both into the river. Would have been a fitting end, honestly!
