What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:30 PM to allow time to park, find your seat, and settle in before the ceremony begins.

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and celebration will both be held at White Oaks Wedding Venue, a beautiful private property with plenty of space to celebrate, dance, and soak in the views.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is anything from cocktail to black-tie optional, feel free to dress up as much as you’d like!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If the weather cooperates, the ceremony will take place outdoors at one of White Oak’s beautiful open-air locations. In case of rain or inclement weather, there are charming indoor spaces on-site where the ceremony will be moved, so either way, we’ll be covered!

What’s the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

August in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is typically warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to low 90s °F. Evenings tend to stay warm, usually in the mid-70s, with some coastal humidity. Our ceremony and celebration will take place at White Oak Farms, which offers both beautiful outdoor spaces and comfortable indoor areas. We recommend wearing breathable fabrics and planning for warm weather. As with any coastal location in the summer, brief rain showers are always possible, but don’t worry! We have a seamless backup plan to ensure everyone stays comfortable and dry.

There will be appetizers and a buffet-style dinner with pescatarian, poultry, vegetarian, and vegan options.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Come thirsty! We’ll have a full bar including cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic options.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), located approximately 35 minutes from the venue. It offers a variety of domestic flights and is an easy drive or uber to White Oaks Venue and the two hotels within the block.

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus-one, they’ll be listed on your RSVP. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask!

Can we bring our children?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but to allow all of our guests (including parents!) a night of relaxation, we kindly request no children at the wedding unless named on the invitation.
