Brandon and Shannon first met in the summer of 2019, just before Shannon began her medical residency. Their meeting was unexpected and quickly turned into something meaningful. At the time, they were both living in Columbus, Georgia, but Shannon was set to move two months later to begin residency in Augusta, three hours away. They decided to give long-distance a chance, one initiated by their mutual love of fitness and eventually solidified by their love for each other. That chance turned into six years of love, growth, and unwavering support. Their relationship continued to thrive as Shannon moved even farther away for training, first to Jacksonville, Florida, and later to Chicago. In 2023, after years of distance, Shannon returned home and moved in with Brandon at the lake house on Lake Harding in Alabama. One year later, during a vacation in Hawaii, Brandon proposed. Now, they’ve started a new chapter together in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, where they’re building a life side by side in a new home, finally in the same place, and more excited than ever for the journey ahead. They are so excited to start that official journey with everyone they love at the wedding on August 8, 2026!
