The Wedding Website of Shannon O’dowd and Alec Mezebish
Got questions? We got answers.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Yes! Semi-formal. Gentlemen, please wear a suit jacket. Please don't wear bright / neon colors! And please don’t wear white - we wouldn’t want anyone mistaking you for the bride!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love and adore your children, our wedding is an adult-only event. We can provide babysitter recommendations if needed.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

3:45 pm on November 4. The ceremony will begin at 4 pm sharp! Note there is NO onsite parking.

Question

Where can I park my car?

Answer

There is no on-site parking for guests. We recommend Uber, Lyft or bus transportation mentioned in the previous question, especially if you don't want to walk to the venue or plan to drink. However, if you do want to drive, there are several parking options a short walking distance from the venue: - East All Saints Street Parking Garage - MARC Station Parking, Frederick - Carroll Creek Garage - Patrick Street Parking Garage - The Frederick County Department of Housing and Community Development - Gilberts Restaurant Supply building (along East Patrick Street across from Union Knitting Mills building entrance)

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! A bus will pick up at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and Hilton Garden Inn at 3:15 pm sharp to take guests to the venue. Guests will need to walk a short distance to the venue after drop-off. There is a sign up sheet at both hotels. If you’re not taking checking into the hotels, but are utilizing the shuttle, we highly encourage you to take the shuttle departing from Hilton as the Marriott room blocks are full. FOR GUESTS CHECKING IN ON NOV. 4 PLEASE NOTE: Hotel check-in is at 3 pm. You may have to check in post-reception, but please let the front desk know you are here before departing. You may park your car in the hotel parking lot. For guests wanting to leave the reception early, a bus will depart at the drop-off location at 9:00 pm. Another bus will depart at 10:15 pm. If this timeline does not work for you or if you plan to go downtown post-reception, Uber and Lyft are available options to take you back to your hotel.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is RSVP only. We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be held at Union Mills Public House located at 340 E Patrick St. Unit A, Frederick, MD 21701

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour will be in a heated tent outside the venue.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
