Where is the wedding?

The ceremony and reception will both be at Alexander Homestead in Charlotte, NC.

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

Yes! Kids are more than welcome at both the ceremony and reception. Please just include them in your RSVP.

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

Due to the venue size we ask that only those included on the invite attend.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Tie Optional. This is an outdoor ceremony and a partly indoor reception. Please wear what will make you comfortable.

What's the drink situation?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour where alcohol and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. The reception will have a limited selection open bar. Due to venue rules we cannot serve hard liquor but there will be a wide selection of beers, ciders, and wines.

Transportation?

Answer

The Charlotte area has an abundance of Uber and Lyft ride share services. The Charlotte Douglas International airport also has several rental car services available.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, there is a small lot so we encourage carpooling or ride share services. Overnight parking is not permitted. The venue has made it clear that they will not allow cars to stay in the lot overnight.

What should I expect the weather to be like?

Answer

Early October in Charlotte is typically beautiful and comfortable. The weather is usually in the high 60's and low 70's.

Covid?

Answer

While a vaccine is not required to attend, we encourage everyone to be vaccinated prior to attending to keep everyone safe. Masks are currently required in Charlotte and wedding themed masks will be provided for everyone.
