We’re getting married!

We met while working for the same company upon my move to Traverse City. We rarely said more than "hi, how are you?" for the first six months we worked together, until Ben invited me to go snowboarding with him and group of coworkers one Wednesday evening after work. Back then (in my younger years ha), I jumped at any chance to go snowboarding, especially with a cute guy! We spent that winter making weekly trips to Schuss Mt. to snowboard and to Short's Brewery for a beer and bite to eat afterward, and the rest is history!

On Cinco de Mayo (a common travel date for Ben, for no good reason) in 2018, we left for our much anticipated trip to Costa Rica. During the second to last evening of our trip, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at El Avion, a restaurant built in, around and above a C-123 Fairchild cargo plane with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Shortly after dinner we walked back to our hotel to grab a drink at the bar: frozen pina coladas for us both! We headed down to the pool area just outside our room to enjoy our cocktails. Ben began reminiscing about our week in Costa Rica and talking about how much he'd' love to be able to do it over and over again, with me. The next thing I knew, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I excitedly said "YES!" and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
