Why have you decided to change your wedding plans?

Answer

Once we realized that a large gathering would be neither safe nor permitted, we got to thinking about all of the alternate plans we could craft. And the reality is, a wedding is about a marriage, and our marriage does not need to be put on hold. We are so excited to marry each other and that is our top priority. If 2020 has taught us anything it has taught us to learn to be open to and expect uncertainty. With that in mind, we feared that if we waited until 2021, we may not have been able to have the wedding that we had planned, and then we would have waited a whole year to be right back where we are. The biggest loss in this is sharing our celebration and joy with all of you. But we also know that celebration and joy is not confined to one day or one weekend. We look forward to celebrating and sharing the joy that we have with all of you in big ways and small, when we are able to safely be together again.
