Maid of Honor & Sister of the Bride
THE Maid of Honor. The girl my sister begged our parents to have. Shan kept berating my mother about when her sister would get here… for years. And because I like to keep my fans happy, I decided to make her dreams come true and be born. Being 5 years younger you might think we'd have nothing to talk about or that Shan would've gotten tired of having me follow her around. WRONG-O. We were instant best friends and couldn't do anything without each other. I looked up to her for everything and would even go into her room in the mornings to make sure I matched her outfit which she of course loved. I don't know a world or life without Shan and I can't wait to stand next to her on May 8th.
Bridesmaid & Cousin of the Bride
Hey there! I’m Ericka, or E for short. I’ve known and adored Shanna since the moment she was born - in fact she was the first baby I ever held, and let me tell you, I was hooked! I was only 4, but I vividly remember wanting to take care of her. When she broke her arm, I was so worried that I even wrapped my own arm up in sympathy! As we grew up, our adventures became the stuff of legend. We were always getting into mischief, whether it was creating our own games (or deck of cards lol), sizzling like bacon or staying up late playing with dolls. With Shanna around, there’s never a dull moment. She’s my dream team member, my favorite travel companion, and an incredible godmother to my daughter, Zoey. I could write a book about our favorite memories, but I’ll keep it short - Shanski, you’re the best, and I’m so grateful to have you in my life. Here’s to celebrating you and Mikey! Love you the most 💖
Bridesmaid & Cousin of the Bride
My name is Stacy Jeanie, From our daycare days to adulthood Shan has always been there for me! I am so grateful to have her as a friend and cousin! This picture was taken just a few weeks before I had my sweet baby girl Juniper at the baby shower I had at Shan’s childhood home! Now Shan gets to be the Auntie Lou to Juniper Rae.
Bridesmaid & Cousin of the Bride
I’m AmyG and you can read my sister’s bio below to get the low-down on how Shanna and I are related. Shan and I have grown closer and closer as we’ve grown up and I’m so glad we’ve become such great friends. From celebrating family events or going to concerts and shows, to late night chats and check in phone calls, Shanna is one of my favorite people to talk to. I’m so excited to celebrate Mikey joining the family and the two of them starting their new lives together!
Bridesmaid & Cousin of the Bride
hi i’m Lauren! Shanna is my dad’s cousin’s daughter, but as she always says, “we’re actually more related than you think because our grandmothers were twins… like they literally shared the same dna so we’re basically just cousins.” Although we appear to have literally nothing in common, for example i own 3 shirts and we all know Shan owns a couple more than 3, Shanna and I have continued to grow closer through audio messages about chronic pain, long distance relationships, traveling, and many other inconveniences. Most audio messages start with “okay I feel like no one else would get this, but I hope you can relate.” I am so honored to be a part of Mikey and Shanna’s wedding and I can not wait for them to begin this next part of their lives together!

We’ve known each other our whole lives .. our moms were best friends long before us! Shanna has been there for me through every milestone. I feel so lucky to have shared so many years of laughter, love and memories with her. From childhood adventures to standing beside each other on our wedding days, our friendship has always been something truly special. I’m so grateful to have her as my lifelong friend.. Shoutout to Chrissy and Lynda xoxo
Bridesmaid
Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am so honored to be standing by Shan’s side on her wedding day this Spring. Shanna and I met on the first day of first grade, and she has been one of the only true constants in my life ever since (how lucky am I?!) From hogging the easels in Mrs. Sparks class, to CCD, and closing down the dance floor at Loretta’s, she has been by my side through it all. We share a love of shopping, talking, and being the center of attention, and you can always find both of us being the life of the party anywhere we go. Many years ago, Shanna told me she and Mikey would be getting married one day, but that she didn’t even have his phone number. I couldn’t be happier that she finally got his contact info, and her manifestation has come true. I couldn’t have picked a better guy for her if I tried, and I’m already counting down the days until May 8th!

Hi! I’m Cassie (also known in high school as Shannay’s sporty friend)! It’s crazy to say that Shannay and I have been friends for over a decade—but even crazier to think there was a time when I didn’t have Shannay in my life. Shannay has been my ride or die (literally doing endless Neck runs in her mustang—very creatively named “Musty”—every chance we got) and has had my back (literally… with our most frequent photograph being Shannay on my back) through it all. I’m so excited to stand by her side as she marries her person! See you all out on the dance floor!

Shanna was one of my very first friends when I moved to Marblehead and started at MHS. I was shy and quiet—but in her usual warm, bubbly way, Shanna decided we were going to be friends. And I’m so glad she did. We quickly bonded over inside jokes, spontaneous adventures, and a shared love of travel, all while staying rooted in the things that matter most to us: family, community, and little traditions that keep life colorful. Thankfully, that connection has only grown stronger over the years. We’re (basically) neighbors now, and even though we have busy lives, we always find time to reconnect—whether it’s a trip to Miami or Costco, a comedy show in NYC or a comedy show at a local yoga studio, or just a quick phone call while both of us are at work. I’m so honored to stand beside you as you marry Mikey. You’ve found someone who matches your kindness, your humor, and your authenticity. I can’t wait to see where life takes you both next—and to be there every step of the way.

Hi! Allie here! I’ve had the pleasure of growing up with Shanna and something about us? We love us an early morning. From getting dropped off at high school at 7am and keeping each other company to hopping on 5am flights! Shanna has been by my side for some pretty incredible adventures like traveling to Iceland, London & Nashville and enduring our own form of hunger games aka the ticketmaster queue buying Taylor Swift concert tickets. We also share our fair share of foot troubles (our friendship is sponsored by crutches and walking casts). I cannot wait to watch one of my best friends marry the love of her life just like she’ll be standing by me at my wedding! If you need to find me wedding day, I’ll probably be the tallest bridesmaid and the girl singing every Taylor Swift song. Cheers to Shanna & Mikey!!

Hi! I’m Noshin. Shanna and I met first day of sophomore year of college, and we have been inseparable ever since. My first impression of her was literally “wow, this girl is so nice, she’s inviting me to lunch after 5 mins of knowing me!” We then got lunch almost every day after class til we graduated! Shanna and I have seen and experienced so much life together. We took roadtrips and visited almost every state together. She’s always been the most considerate friend I’ve ever had, and she even drove across the country with me to to help me move to LA. I remember Shanna crushing on Mikey so hard on our trip to Iowa, and we were so confused when he wouldn’t make a move!! When they finally admitted their feelings to each other, I dropped her off on their first date in NJ and the rest is history. I’m so thrilled to be a part of their special day and to see one of my best friends so happy!!
Bridesmaid & Sister of the Groom
Hi I’m Kristy, Mikey’s big sis! I first learned about Shan when Mikey spilled his guts to me about how much he was crushing on this girl in his Twitter group chat. Her football trivia alone left him speechless & he had been dying to date her. After an agonizingly long, slow burn, many phone calls from Mike with no progress, and many text updates between Paul & I later, “asking are they together yet!?” the day finally came when Mike and Shan became official! Shortly after, on a random weeknight in Morristown, I had the privilege of meeting her at our first family dinner. She looked like a beautifully coordinated Barbie and had the warmth & energy of an energizer bunny. I knew instantly that this girl was different and was just what my brother needed. And the rest is history! - from Mass to Jersey to New York, Shan is always down for an adventure, especially for her loved ones. It’s been a privilege to get to know this incredibly thoughtful & hardworking lady & can’t wait to call her my sister!
Best Man/Bridesman
Hi, my name is Paul! I met Mikey and Shanna back in college, and from that point on, life was never short on laughs or adventures. Mikey and I were roommates in both Hamden and Los Angeles, where we somehow managed to form a brotherhood bond over something as arbitrary as a tortilla and a ceiling fan. Shanna and I have also found ourselves in plenty of random adventures over the years, the kind that only seem to happen when the two of us are together. After spending a summer living with Shanna’s family while working at Fenway Park, I was adopted as an honorary son of the McCarriston family. I couldn’t be happier to stand by their side and celebrate two of my best friends in the world finally making it official!

I’ve known Mikey since we were wee little lads. Our friendship was built on who could land the next hardflip, make the kewlest video edit, or rack up the highest K/D ratio in COD. These days he’s posted up in Salem with his fiancée Shanna, a straight shooter who’s wicked smaaat. She’ll tell ya like it is. So stoked to finally get these two kids hitched!
Groomsman
I first met Mikey at the Legendary Lafayette elementary school in first grade. We were known to many (ourselves) as the Splash Brothers of Sussex County. For 23 years, Mikey and I have stayed connected through niche sports humor and spending countless hours hanging out in our parents’ basements. My favorite memories with Mikey have been hunting sands down the shore, or when we lived in Spain together. Great day for a great day — let’s get this man married!

We had just moved into to an our new house and the Zukswert’s had just bought the lot next door. I was just over 2 and Mikey was probably 16-18 months old. My parents invited their family over for lunch one day and Mikey wasn’t feeling well. My mom offered for him to take a nap in my sister (Allison’s) crib where he began to puke all over everything. After he was feeling a little better he was brought down to be with the rest of us and proceeded to throw up directly into the air vent in kitchen. We’ve been brothers ever since.

Mikey and I met in high school playing basketball freshman year. I got to actually see him fit inside of a locker (crazy stat right there). We got closer later in high school though I didn’t think he actually liked me. He was never allowed to come out to play or he was just making excuses, which I would come to learn happened more often than not. I started to just drive to his house if he said he couldn’t hang out which is when I learned this damn kid was making excuses! I started to force him to go out and do more with me. Which created so many fun memories. I’m thankful I can call him my brother of 15 years and will be his brother for life.

Mikey and I first met at a hometown party in Sussex. He was on aux and put on a rapper who I’ve never heard of. I walked up to him and asked what was playing and he said Logic. We became friends right on the spot. We have bonded over music over the years, made some terrible music together, and danced at bars to live bands in Morristown when we lived there together. Mikey had talked about this girl Shanna for months before she finally ended up visiting him when we lived together. From the moment I met her I knew she was perfect for this quiet little kid. Mikey has become the little brother I never had - from playing CoD, skating the streets of Morristown and getting his scrawny a** to the gym - we’ve clocked plenty of memories together.
Groomsman
Hey I’m Jake! I’m a longtime hometown friend of Mikey, bonded over our love-hate relationship with the Eagles. I met him when he came to my house in college for a party. We ran out of cups, so I gave him my niece’s Minnie Mouse Princess Cup and we’ve been friends ever since. I can be found perfecting my lawn stripes in a worn in pair of new balances, chasing my toddlers, and enjoying a good cigar with bourbon. Go Birds.

Michael claims that when we met on my first day at Rebel Road, I was wearing a full suit, and that is simply not the case… it was a button down shirt, a tie, and khakis (in the film industry, yes, this is weird). He had no idea I was even starting that day, and I had no idea who he was, or that I would come to spend a lot of time with him over the next few years - countless commutes into NYC, traveling all over creation to the most desolate regions of the U.S., 16 hour days on set, late nights in the studio, shooting my short films “for exposure” - I’m so grateful to have grown so close with him over the past couple years. If you haven’t realized by now, I work with Michael at Rebel Road and I can say, without a doubt, he is truly one of the most hard working and genuine people I know, and I’m so excited for Shan and him on their big day!
Groomsman
Hi, my name is Trevor Romano. I met Mikey in the fall of 2014 when we roomed together freshman year. I had the honor of watching Mike grow from an introverted kid who was shy and stayed in his room to someone who would start going into the world and really live and pursue the things he loves. We have been both close and far in terms of our relationship in the years since we met. And every time we get together or are able to work a phone call into our busy schedules its like no time has passed. I've learned that Mike is a stand up guy who knows whats right and wrong. He is true to himself and those he loves. I look forward to the years ahead. Watching him take all the lessons he has learned into this new chapter of his life with Shanna.
Head Flower Girl & Goddaughter of the Bride
Zoey is my fashionista, dance queen and the ultimate babysitter helper. I tell anyone who will listen how great my goddaughter is. She has a natural ability to care for people, especially younger kids and babies and her motivation and commitment to being the best dancer she can be is extraordinary to watch. The first time she met Mikey was her fourth birthday and she asked him to move ants, yes ants, out of her way. And he did. Anytime she sees any couple on TV or on anything from an ornament to stuffed animals she says "Look G-Mama! It's you and Mikey!!" I love how much she loves us and we love her just the same. She's my head flower girl and she couldn't be more proud to be.
Flower Girl
Melina is the ultimate sidekick. She didn't care if we were going to the grocery store, getting my oil changed, getting an inspection sticker or shopping, she was always just excited to be there. I've babysat her since she was 1 and she is now 6. She is sassy, smart and loving. She says, "Miss Shanna, I'll always be your baby."
Flower Girl
I have babysat for Caroline (and her wonderful siblings Abby and Charlie) since she was about 5 months old and she is now 3.5. Her dimpled smile and big eyes made me melt right away. We were instantly buddies, going on walks, trips to the library, tree lightings with my family and her siblings' sporting events to cheer them on. Now every week when I come over to babysit she yells "SHANNA!! YOU MARRIED?!" She says my ring is like Elsa and can't wait to get her dress for the big day.
Flower Girl
I started taking care of Ella when she was 3 months old and she is now 3. Ella is caring, kind and wise beyond her years. She is always good for a story, whether it's her telling me about apple picking, or watching her mom run the Boston Marathon, she always has the best retelling of her adventures. She now goes to daycare, but I'm lucky enough to take her some days and she joins my morning group with Stefanos and Melina, who are now her buddies too.
Flower Girl
Freya is Mikey's cousin Amy's little girl! She is the sweetest little toddler you'll ever meet. As difficult as it can be to see Freya, Shan and Mikey are always so excited to see her when we visit Mikey's family in NJ! Shan has a soft spot for Freya, as does Mikey. Amy knows this and will often send photos of Freya to Shan when we haven't seen her in some time. We are so excited to have her as one of our flower girls!
Ring Bearer
Stefanos is one of the kindest people I know. He is always looking out for everyone and is loyal beyond loyal. The love he shares for his sister and family is something so beautiful to see. I started watching him when he was 3, though he always says he wishes he knew me when he was a baby, and he is now 8.5.
Ring Bearer
Cole is one of the funniest kids I know and there's not a time we aren't laughing about something. I've taken care of him since he was 1 and he is now 9 and is very proud to be one of the kids I've babysat the longest, something he continuously mentions to me. Cole and I love doing math problems together, coloring, playing in the yard and going on adventures, whether that's to target, soccer games or just hanging at my house.
Ring Bearer
Lucas is the first boy born of the new generation on Mikey's side of the family! He is the big brother of one of our flower girls, Freya. Lucas is an energetic and exciting young kid who is always excited to see his Uncle Mikey. The two of them can be seen running around in a backyard playing catch at most family gatherings. We are so excited to have him represent the Hazard side of the family at our wedding!
Officiant & Aunt of the Bride
Shanna and I had a bond before she was born. She actually knew my voice and would kick and move when she heard me. My sister always says she carried her children 9 months for me. I never needed my own because my sister had the two most perfect children and she shared them with me. Shanna and I share shopping, football, Saturday morning TV on TLC and the most amazing love for each other. And I must mention we went to the best Super Bowl in history. Michael and I share football, sarcasm, and a pure love for Shanna. It has been easy to love him and welcome him into the family. I’m honored to marry them.
