Featuring more than 3,000 boats and 2,000 exhibitors from all over the globe, the Miami International Boat Show is the largest boat and yacht show in the world. A multi-venue event, it is held annually over President's Day Weekend. It's great for anyone who wants to know what's new in boating, from the latest powerboats, sailboats, luxury yachts, nautical accessories, or apparel.
Good food, amazing cocktails.
Plenty of options for good beers in Miami but the one we recommend are in Fort Lauderdale: - For barrel-aged beers, porter and stouts we recommend the limited draft at Funky Buddha - 1201 NE 38th St, Oakland Park, FL 33334 - For all things IPAs, one of the best microbreweries in the country according to Alex's not so humble opinion: Invasive Species - 726 NE 2nd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 Both have bar food options (the food truck outside Invasive is really good).
Unfortunately no NBA around our dates, but Hurricanes vs Cavs on the Saturday at 5pm. We have an event planned in Wynwood 3 to 5pm so you may need to miss a bit of us or of the game!
Great place to swim with Manatees. Ask Alex for more info.
Multiple locations for this Cuban Bakery chain with great empanadas, croquettes and other Cuban pastries.
Natural wines presence is exponentially growing in the US. Disclaimer: we have not tried any of these places, but here are a few spots to drink natty wine with your dinner and/or buy bottles to bring back to your room.
There will be an ar.t festival in the Coconut Grove neighborhood
Manatee can be spotted in some of the canals that run through Miami. This park has absolutely nothing worth going besides the high likelihood to see manatees! It's not guaranteed but we've seen them each time we went. Watch for them as they get their head out to breathe!
