Check out our Travel page. We recommend booking lodging as early as possible before things get booked up. We recommend staying at Base Camp One lodge or nearby VRBOs so that you can walk to the venue. The venue has parking if you rent a car. Note - there is no transportation to and from the wedding.
Winter Park is a 25-minute drive to Granby, so we recommend staying in Granby Ranch to minimize your driving. But, you can stay in Winter Park if you prefer!
You have options! See the Travel page for more info. 1) Take the train from Denver airport to Granby and rent a car in Granby 2) Schedule a shuttle service to pick you up from Denver Airport 3) Rent a car at Denver airport Please arrange your own transportation to and from the wedding that is at Granby Ranch. Note - there is NO uber/lyft in Granby (small mountain town).
It takes 1 hour, 45 minutes to drive from the Denver airport to Granby Ranch. We recommend doing this drive in DAYTIME because you will go up the continental divide pass, which means steep switchbacks. If you are unexperienced or nervous about driving this pass, you can take the Amtrak train from Denver to Granby (see Travel section for more info).
We got you! We recommend drinking electrolytes in your water, and plenty of it. Go easy on the alcohol. If you can, try to get there a day before to help acclimate. If you ever feel sick, descending down will help you feel better immediately.
Warm and sunny in the day (God willing!) and cooler at night. Average temps for Granby Ranch in June are 72° day / 37° night (due to the high elevation). Colorado weather is VERY dynamic. Plan for chilly, hot, and rain! You just never know :)
