Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jordan Marie Ross and Ryan Ayer Shanks
We've put together a list of some local favorites and honestly, it's gotten a little long! We guess you'll just have to extend your stay awhile. Shucks (oyster pun). Bonus for anyone driving to SSI from ATL or GVL, make your way through Metter, GA and stop at Papa Bucks BBQ for a famous Scooby Snack or BBQ Plate. Unfortunately Holly Jolly Jekyll (the lights on Jekyll Island), won't begin until 11/28.

Porch - Restaurant

549 Ocean Blvd, St Simons Island, GA 51522

Hot chicken (and less hot chicken if you're so inclined) but we recommend you stay away from Napalm level heat!!! We thought they were exaggerating - they were not.

Mellow Mushroom Pizza - Restaurant

440 Kings Way, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

You can't beat Mellow Mushroom Pizza. Unfortunately they're not open late so you'll have to preplan your late night pizza needs.

Mullet Bay - Restaurant

512 Ocean Boulevard, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

Great casual spot with every day happy hour (4-6:30) and the place to go for fried seafood!

Fiddlers - Restaurant

410 Arnold Road, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

Just down the way from Crabdaddys, Fiddlers is a slightly more relaxed seafood and americana spot. Try the fried deviled eggs.

Crabdaddy's - Restaurant

1217 Ocean Boulevard, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

Moderately upscale restaurant serving locally sourced coastal cuisine and right around the corner from Fiddlers.

The Village Shops

210 Mallery Street, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

Walk around Mallery Street and stop into some of the local shops. If you're familiar with the famous mouse tree, it all started with some ornaments at Simons. You can also check out The Savannah Bee Company (for honey and mead tastings), Sugar Shack Candy shop, Fuze (frozen treats galore), Go Fish, the SSI Lifestyle store, and so many other cool places!

Saint Simons Island Pier

100 Mallery Street, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

Watch fishermen, birds of all kinds, sailboats, and maybe even catch sight of a dolphin!

St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum

610 Beach View Drive, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

Learn about the history of the original and current lighthouses and even make your way to the top for awesome views.

East Beach

St. Simons Island, GA 31522

A great public beach with free parking, bathrooms, and sand rinsing stations by the Coast Guard Station

Fort Frederica National Monument

6515 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, GA 31522

The monument showcases the site of a pivotal battle in the struggle for control of the then British Georgia colony from Spanish raids in the 1700s.
