In the not-so-distant past, in a world filled with possibilities, two souls found each other. It all began on January 20, 2018, when Shanihya and Jalen crossed paths for the first time. Shanihya and Jalen's story started with a chance meeting through a mutual friend. Jalen had decided to stop by the mutual friend's room to say hello, and it was there that he first laid eyes on Shanihya. During this initial encounter, Shanihya didn't pay much attention to Jalen. A few days later, during a visit from some mutual friends, Shanihya received Jalen's phone number. That night, they began texting each other, and it wasn't long before Shanihya spent a weekend in Jalen's dorm room. Their first night together was truly magical. They stayed up until 4 AM, sharing their life stories, dreams, and aspirations. Little did they know, this was the beginning of their remarkable love story. On February 4th, Shanihya and Jalen decided to make it official and became a couple. The following week marked their first official date, during which they realized just how much they enjoyed each other's company. From that point on, they were inseparable. They introduced each other to their families, embarked on memorable vacations, graduated from college, and took the significant step of moving into an apartment together. Fast forward five years, and on October 14, 2023, Jalen proposed to Shanihya in what she described as the perfect proposal. And so, their journey continues.
