Shanice's Story: One day, Shanice was laying at home on her bed going through the dating app algorithms. As usual, all the profiles were looking the same. A bunch of guys doing there best to look cool, taking pictures with dogs to look more sensitive, and all of them were saying they were 6 feet tall. All of a sudden, Shanice swiped her way to a profile that intrigued her. She saw a tall, goofy looking guy crouching down working with kids. The next photos was him with his friends, and him with his family. She started reading his prompts and she laughed out loud, seeing that he said his biggest fear was eating spaghetti in public because "there is no way to eat it without looking like a dog slurping". Another prompt said that his biggest strength was being optimistic, but admitted it was also a weakness because he can be to optimistic at times. She liked what she saw, and decided to give him a shot, swiping right. David's side: David was on his couch, watching something on the television, probably either sports, Survivor or a Disney movie. All of a sudden, he received a notification of someone on Hinge liking his profile. This was no surprise at all, because in his words, why wouldn't you? He decided to go on and see who had the pleasure of getting the opportunity of a lifetime to talk to him! As he went on the app, he saw the most beautiful person in the world. He loved their smile, their hair, and how their skin glistened in the moonlight. After staring at his own profile a few seconds more, he looked at this new like. When he looked at the profile, he immediately noticed her smile, and how it could easily light up a room. He liked how her profile was all about being family oriented and helping others... it also helped that he found her extremely attractive, so, he decided to swipe right! Once they both matched with each other, they started texting, and it was obvious there was a connection, so David suggested a FaceTime call. The FaceTime call lasted 3 hours, and was almost exclusively about Disney, and how both of them thought they would beat the other in a Disney knowledge quiz (spoiler alert... Shanice crushed David). The FaceTime call led to scheduling a first date, and playing mini golf (Which this time David crushed Shanice at). The first date led to a second date, and then a third date... and soon enough, they decided to make it official! Almost 2 years after dating, David decided to propose, and it was the best decision he ever made. On December 13th, 2025, Shanice said yes to spending the rest of their lives together, and both of them cannot wait to make it official!
