Many people keep wondering how did you meet? Well here is the story so sit back, relax and get ready for a story filled with fascination! It all started in May 2018 when I had just graduated college. My best friend Rivonya and I decided to go on a Carnival cruise to celebrate our graduation. One night we decided to go to a game night event onboard the Carnival Fascination. The game required us to work alongside strangers we had never met before. It was there that I met the love of my life, Noel Bourne. We all shared laughs and jokes as we worked together as a team trying to win the game. After the event there was a mingling event at serenity nightclub where we talked and danced the night away. We both realized we were both from New York, my family from NYC and his family in Westchester. The days to follow were filled with sweet notes from Noel found under my cabin door and it was from that moment on I knew this was going to be something beautiful. We spent every day on vacation together getting to know each other but little did we know how serious it would get. The next week when the cruise ended we decided to give it a try. We went on our first date mini golfing by the water and we had a blast. While he would be away pursuing his Ph.D. in Math at Howard in D.C. and I would be teaching in NYC, we made the choice to keep the magic and fascination alive. We had a loving and eventful long distance relationship for four years. No matter the distance we always made time for each other through phone calls, video calls and countless plane, train and bus trips to see each other. Even though we were hundreds of miles away, we always felt so close to each other. We found each other in an unusual way but we couldn't have imagined it any other way. We thank God for life's blessings and putting us in the right place on the right boat at the right time.

The magic continued on December 30th when Noel proposed to me. We were on vacation in Montego Bay, Jamaica for New Years and Noel proposed to me on a gazebo on the water. I of course said YES! We are beyond grateful for going on that cruise because we met the love of our lives and best friend
