WHERE ARE THE CLOSEST AIRPORTS TO LAKE NANTAHALA?

Answer

Lake Nantahala is located 2.75 hours from Atlanta, GA, 2.5 hours from Chattanooga, TN 2 hours from Asheville, NC, and 2.5 hours from Knoxville, TN.

WHERE CAN WE GET FOOD NEARBY?

Answer

There are some options close by the venue, although it's probably not a bad idea to pick up some snacks or breakfast supplies on your drive in. Lakes End Diner is well reviewed and located 1 mile from the venue on the lake.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THE WEATHER TO BE LIKE?

Answer

November, the last month of autumn, in Topton, is a moderate month, with temperature in the range of an average high of 55.9°F and an average low of 37.9°F.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, only you are invited and given our venue size restrictions, we have to be consistent.

HOW DO WE GET TO THE WEDDING VENUE?

Answer

The wedding is located at Nantahala Weddings, 16121 Wayah Rd, Topton, NC 28781, please make sure to download directions as cell service is variable. From I-23, take US 64 W for 3.8 miles. Turn right onto Patton Rd and then an immediate left onto Wayah Rd. Follow the road for 16 miles, the venue will be on the right. Due to internet limitations, please make sure to have directions prior to leaving your point of origin. There is plenty of parking on the sides of the road surrounding the venue.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

Our wedding is an outdoor venue, so we are keeping things casual to dressy casual. There are gravel roads, so maybe skip the stilettos ladies. Also, the average temperature in Nantahala is low 40's to high 50's in November so be prepared as it may be quite chilly! Wearing comfortable shoes is a MUST at our wedding venue as it is mostly outdoors and surrounded by nature. The walk to the ceremony site is short but does REQUIRE flats, so please make sure to come prepared. Additionally, those who have mobility issues may not be able to make the walk to the Ceremony Location. Please let us know if you would like to be added to the list of 4x4 riders and let us take you to the top!

AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES?

Answer

We ask that you please do not take pictures once the ceremony begins, as this can interfere with our professional photographer. Feel free to take pictures before and after but we want everybody to enjoy the moment with us without any distractions :)
