The ceremony will be located outside weather permitting and the reception following will be indoors. The Michigan weather in October can change abruptly and can be either colder or warmer than you expect. Plan ahead but also be prepared. The inside reception area has heat and air conditioning to make it comfortable inside.
There is a designated area on the left side of the property for smoking. The smoking area is the only area where it’s permitted and smoking is not allowed inside the venue.
No. No outside alcohol is allowed to be brought to the venue. There is no distributing or bringing in alcohol that isn’t provided by the license bartenders. This is a strict policy from the venue in which we will be following so leave your alcohol at home and enjoy the beverages that we are providing.
You will be dearly missed! Please indicate this on your RSVP so that we can plan accordingly. We will be sharing photos of our day on Facebook the week after the wedding and after we get our finals from our photographer.
Yes! We want everyone dressed their best for our special day. We request a semi-formal , cocktail attire for our wedding. You can wear any color you’d like but we kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride including whites , ivories, and creams.
We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. We ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present with us and to enjoy the moment. We have hired a photographer to capture our day and want her to be able to get every special moment without distractions. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures as you want! We will be certain to share our ceremony photos once we receive the final photos from our photographer.
