This is a formal event, so please dress up. We encourage guests to be fun and stylish. A suit? Absolutely. A silk jumpsuit? Perfect. All we ask is that you move beyond casual. No jeans, sneakers, T-shirts, or polos. White is acceptable (you won't be stealing our thunder).
We have listed the closest three hotel options and associated details on our "Travel" page. Feel free to explore alternate home-stay options via Airbnb or VRBO. You can also explore other towns off the Metro-North train line, including Manhattan. These will all provide relatively quick and affordable public transit options to the event area. Just make sure to confirm the timing of the last train back to your accommodations at the end of the event.
We love your kids and know how important they are to you, but we’re planning a night just for the grown-ups! We hope this celebration can be a fun, worry-free evening where you get to fully relax, dance, and enjoy the party. Think of it as a well-earned night off!
We have contracted with a bus company to bring guests to and from the Sonesta & Courtyard Marriott hotel blocks. A bus will pick up at the Sonesta at 5:15 PM. A bus will also pick up at the Courtyard Marriott at 5:30 PM. These buses will also return to each hotel at the conclusion of the reception (11:00 PM).
While we imagine folks will have their fill at the venue, for anyone looking to keep the party going, the provided transportation will stop at Ron Blacks Beer Hall (181 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY) on it's way back to the Sonesta White Plains.
Of course! The Metro-North line is quick, efficient, and safe. You can be in midtown Manhattan within 45-60 minutes. Come a few days early or late to enjoy all that New York City has to offer. We will include some highlights and tips on our "Things to Do" page, but we will never capture all the options, so do your research or ask for our recommendations well in advance of the wedding!
After almost ten years together, we’re fortunate to already own everything we need—and not much space to store more in our New York City apartment! Instead of a traditional registry, we invite those who wish to give a gift to contribute to our honeymoon, helping us create unforgettable memories during a trip we’re planning for shortly after the wedding.
The Whitby Castle does have a parking lot, and there will be plenty of room for folks who plan to drive to the event. There is parking at the hotels, but please confirm if our hotel charges a fee.
