Where is the wedding?

Where will the ceremony and reception be?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside at the Lakeside Pavilion, down the road/hill and through the gate from the Mansion House. The cocktail hour and reception will be inside, in the Mansion House porch. *If it rains, both the ceremony and reception will be inside the Mansion House. Unfortunately, no, our wedding doesn’t get you into the actual zoo lol

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5! If driving, we’d recommend arriving by 4:40 to ensure time to park and walk down to the ceremony space.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We will be staying at the Hyatt Place Baltimore/Inner Harbor on Central Ave. If you'd like to book with our wedding block, check the Hotel tab! *we will have a shuttle to and from the wedding from this hotel*

Is there transportation from the hotels to the ceremony and back?

Answer

We will have a shuttle bus to take you from Hyatt Place Baltimore/Inner Harbor on Central Ave. to the Zoo - and back after the reception. Schedule: ONE trip from Hyatt to the Zoo: 4:15 departure TWO trips from Zoo to Hyatt: 10:30 departure 11:10 departure

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

If you are not taking the shuttle from the hotel and arriving on your own, please park or get dropped off at the mansion house (1876 Mansion House Dr. Baltimore, MD 21217). You will need to walk to the ceremony, which is down the hill and through the gate on the right. If you need accommodations to help get from the parking lot to the ceremony, let us know and we will arrange with the staff!

Can I bring a date?

Your save the date and invitation will indicate the names of all guests who are invited. We appreciate your understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This is an adult-only celebration, with the exception of a few children specifically communicated.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire! For ladies, this means dresses or smart separates. For men, suits, ties, and dress shirts. Please no khaki pants, jeans, polos, or white dresses!

Will there be an after party?

Answer

After the reception ends at 11, Hyatt Place Baltimore/Inner Harbor on Central Ave said they will keep their bar open until 1ish! Come hang!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Feel no obligation to attend, but we want to extend the weekend party, especially for those that came a long way for us! Join us at Max's Taphouse from 12:30 - 3:30. We will provide food, but the drinks are on you this time. When that's finished, Fell's Point Fun Festival will be happening in the neighborhood with music, drinks, and food so we will definitely be staying out!

What food will be served at dinner? Can I make food allergy / diet requests?

Blue Pit BBQ will be serving our dinner buffet! We do have vegetarian options that will already be included, but if you have any other specific allergies or concerns, let us know!

Will there be a name change?

Answer

No. Shannon is staying Koehler (and Alec is staying Rojero). While Shannon won’t mind being accidentally addressed as Rojero, please refrain from any personalized items using that name. Thanks!!
