Chuangmen, also known as door games, is a key highlight of the day’s festivities. Typically, it will be prepared by Meagan's bridesmaids to test Shan's determination to marry Meagan and to win approval from Meagan's family and friends. Each game will include varying tasks which involve testing Shan's knowledge about Meagan, eat something spicy, sour, bitter, and sweet to prove Shan can go through every stage of marriage, and at least one challenge that involves pain. Shan will also have to hand over red envelops with money to Meagan's bridesmaids so they will be willing to give her away to Shan. Only upon winning all challenges will Shan be allowed to enter the bride’s room where the final challenge is to locate Meagan's missing shoe to put it on Meagan's foot, and then walk out together with her.

The Chinese Tea Ceremony is an imperative tradition to any Chinese Weddings. This is the time the lucky couple express their respect, gratitude, and appreciation to their parents’ love, support, and effort in raising them. A specialized tea set with the Double Happiness symbol is used for the tea ceremony, where black tea is sweetened with dried longans, lotus seeds, and red dates. One of Meagan's bridesmaids will give the teacups to the couple who will bow and serve tea to the parents uttering the phrase “Please drink tea.” After each parent takes a sip of their tea, the couple will be offered a red envelope with money or gold jewelry to bless the union and as an official welcome to the family. The couple will then serve tea to the paternal side grandparents, the older uncles/aunties, younger uncles/aunties, followed by their older married siblings. They will repeat the same order for the maternal side of the family.
